I have been a member of Massage Envy for over 15 years and have built up a large amount of massages over that period of time. When my family and I moved to a city that doesn't have a Massage Envy, and the nearest one is 2 hours away I assumed they would work with me, but boy was I wrong. I called my main location which was at Memorial West and spoke to the store manager, Marianne and explained my situation. She quickly stated there was nothing they can do and her only suggestion to me was to cancel my account sooner than later so I stop acquiring more. Well, the problem is I have over $3,600 worth of massages I purchased and once you cancel your membership you have 30 days to use them or lose them. I asked if I could at least gift them to people and/or transfer them to someone else and they would not allow it. I feel this is EXTREMELY poor business practice and I am very disappointed. I do not recommend anyone to become a member at Massage Envy due to this reason. Just purchase a massage from anywhere when you want one vs. committing to something like this and they just screw you in the end.
