  I should’ve followed my first mind, and ran when I walked into the school, and seen the quality of staff that they employ. They are understaffed and their student : instructor ratio is definitely not in compliance. Not to mention that the school is centrally located in the middle of a high crime and prostitution area. The audacity of this piss poor of a school to find any reason to dismiss their student and keep the money that they’ve invested into an institution of this caliber. Even though my first impression was beneath my standards of a school that I’d desire, I still decide to give them a chance. First of all, I didn’t learn anything. Thankfully, I’m well educated enough to be able to teach myself the material that was needed for me to pass. Renita did nothing but read the answers aloud for us to “highlight and underline”. Even the virtual instruction given by the owner was so far out of line and beneath State standards. From her answering personal phone calls, to driving in her car, eating, to talking back and forth to her Alexa device, and even the cooing and “lap-sitting” of a “newborn” baby all while teaching us. All of this went on during my paid instructional hours. What a waste of money and even more I definitely wouldn’t want anyone else to experience this poor quality

  This situation is a foreign concept to Smithwood Medical Institute as we have never had a student from our college represent themselves in such a manner or make such blatantly false allegations about our college, location, staff, or learning experience. Nothing of what she made mention of is true and it is really sad that a person would have to make untruths about an established institute who has gone above and beyond to provide an excellent learning experience for her as we are known for our accolades, passing rate, community partnerships, and great success of our students due to excellent teaching. As we are amongst a prominent Christian community of a few Christian collegiate colleges, schools, and attorney offices, which goes to show how much she really knows about SMI. Its very unfortunate for her as we feel sorry for people like this individual as she must be hurting to make such horribly false allegations and to behave as she did on our premises. Her behavor was so scary, awful, and threatening where we had to contact the police for her to be escorted off the premises.
  As of Monday, June 19 2023 we had to release this student from Smithwood Medical Institute due to violation of the conduct policy, and failure to correct the behavior reported by instructors and staff after being repeatedly talked to, coached, and warned. This action has been deemed necessary as we have determined that she had engaged in the following acts of misconduct while creating a hostile, threatening, and unsafe environment; which are serious violations of Smithwood Medical Institute code of conduct and policy regulations deemed by the state of Texas, which constitutes a severe breach of faith, ethics, and conduct.
  As we have given multiple efforts to try and resolve the various matters that have occurred during her enrollment here at SMI, unfortunately she decided not to select any of the options that were given to her. Due to not being able to resolve the concern, we had no alternative but to terminate her enrollment with cause based on the nature of these violations.
  Due to the inappropriate, erratic, hostile, threatening, and aggressive behavior in conjunction with refusing to leave the premises after being repeatedly asked to do so once her consultation regarding the issue was complete, which forced our team at SMI to have to contact the police. In addition, her behavior was so threatening that the building had to be notified and as a result, she is not able to come onto the premises of 7100 Regency Square as to prevent any trespassing issues.
  After calculating her time spent in the program with tuition paid, we did issue her a refunded amount that was due back to her at the current stage of the program.
  Smithwood Medical Institute strives to make every effort to provide a conducive educational experience for every student as well as work effectively with our affiliates, building management, and community partners in maintaining a credible reputation. Due to this disruption of multiple classes and irrational aggressive behavior, Smithwood Medical Institute feels as if the safety of our staff, students, and career college is at stake and therefore we will no longer be able to have any further communication with this person and will no longer be able to provide any additional services on her behalf.
