    Around a week ago, I saw an advertisement on Instagram selling a "free day of self care" including a boudoir photoshoot with a complimentary digital copy of one photo with options to purchase additional photos. On March 31st, 2025, I went in for the photoshoot, took my photos, and after entering the finance office, I was goaded into a much larger purchase than I could have ever imagined making. Though I was given my complimentary shoot, and my purchase of one digital photo was waived, I was charged $200 for each additional photo (I having chosen 24), and over $3,000 for a leather-bound photo album with the same photos printed inside. I was then verbally offered a payment plan to cover this purchase within a year with zero interest, only for the documentation to state there being an almost 34% APR for a payment plan budgeted for over 36 months. But I was told if I "paid within a year, the interest wouldn't apply, so it's no interest." I was then given a monthly payment plan for the 36 months, not for 12. And when I did my credit check, I was instructed to put in $100k for my yearly income, when I hardly make a fifth of that. I felt used, deceived, manipulated, and just straight filthy after this process. The business did reach out to me while writing this; despite ignoring my calls the day prior and, instead, sending me a text message while I was calling to send them an email instead; and upon hearing about the fraudulent practices immediately verbally withdrew the contract. ***** the ************* Care Manager, assured me they would reach out to ClarityPay, the loan office they used to get me the loan, to cancel the transaction entirely, and offered a complimentary photo as well. However, admittedly, this whole ordeal has left me feeling ill and exhausted, and I might just want to leave this bad memory behind me.
