    Hired to complete a major remodel for 106K. Began the job on 5-8-23. Walked off the job on 6-7-23 with 42K in pocket and asked for an additional 15K in exchange for not placing a lien on my house.
    The job was not finished. Materials provided are not the materials specified in the contract. The work that was started was not completed: drywall, doors, trim, cabinets, plumbing, insulation. There is a long list of work that needs to be fixed. Only 1/3 of the attic was insulated. Some of the insulation is r-15 (intended for walls). None of the insulation fits properly between the joists. Not all walls have drywall. The bathroom and laundry room have regular drywall instead of water-resistant. Walls are not 100% textured. Drywall is installed over garage door brackets instead of behind brackets. Doors are hung incorrectly (swing open on their own, too low to pass over floor tile, swing wrong direction). Holes in window stools allowing air and bugs to move freely between inside and outside. Big gaps between the trim and wall above windows and doors. Doors hung incorrectly. Toilet outlet pipe is in the wrong place. Toilet outlet pipe has a low spot. PEX pipes not properly secured to wall. Tub not level. Cabinet not finished.
    Owner refuses to fix issues. Refuses to return emails. Sent me an email in which he called me names and insulted me. Refuses to remove his materials from my garage because he wants me to pay for them but he refuses to provide invoices. ****************************

    If a review is written to any entity such as the BBB: then it should be factual. No. 1 and most important with this customer is I was the third contractor on this job, and No. 2 this customer told us she no longer needed our services. I never once refused to fix any issue; this is simply not true. She fired us from the job and told us to get all of our materials and tools off of the job site. It is pretty hard to finish a job when you are not allowed on the job site anymore. I maintain we got much more done at her home before we got fired; than the previous other two contractors. we got all the drywall installed, taped, floated, and textured. We installed all the doors and window trim as well as closet trim. We primed all walls and trim as well as sanded and prepped the trim/doors. We were ready to paint the doors and trim in this empty house with no floors and she said: Oh: I want them all brushed and rolled. I surely agreed but of course at an additional cost. I have never threatened to do anything legally to this customer. I have never said I was going to file a lien on her house. I did tell her she owed me fifteen k for the work I completed in her home. I do not understand how you can fire someone and then write a bad review about them not finishing the job. This is just not truthful. I guarantee you she would never let us back on the job site; so how does this complaint serve anyone? Does she feel better about herself or her decision. Does it tell my new customers how bad I am? No because we were not allowed to finish the job. I have finished many jobs this size and larger with many completely satisfied customers. This lady was just unreasonable; to say the least. I do wish her well and hope she gets her house completed by someone else. I do think her writing this review out of spite is just uncalled for. My company did nothing but good work in her home and I am proud of the work we completed. If she would have let us finish the house: she would have moved into a nice home.
