Ill speak on the roof leaks and the unprofessionalism of this company. Started my porch on 17 Oct and it was supposed to take 3-5 days. Once they were supposedly finished on/around 27 Oct, I reminded them that my ceiling panels still werent fixed and they had to order all brand new ones, because they were all dented. Meanwhile, the roof started leaking horribly during a rain storm. I sent them videos and was told they would put in a new roof and seal it. (just like they did last time). They started the job again on 15 Nov by replacing the ceiling panels and allegedly fixing the leaking roof. Well, it rained slightly yesterday, 20 Nov and my roof is leaking again, even after they fixed it. Ive sent videos and pictures to the construction manager on different occasions with roof leaks. He requested to do a final walk through tomorrow, 22 Nov with my roof still leaking. They have no idea how to fix it so I hired an independent roofer to come out and assess why it kept leaking. There needs to be a transition from the house roof to the patio roof or it will leak forever. After some conversations with the construction manager and I, I decided I no longer wanted him on my property anymore either because of his unprofessionalism and dont care attitude towards myself and this job. I emailed the company again (they never responded to the first email on 31 Oct about the leftover materials and when the job would be finished) about the leaking roof last night (20th) respectfully requesting another supervisor to come and look at the shoddy job. I received a reply from the office manager on the 22nd, who was also unprofessional telling me the buck stops with the construction manager I currently have. My option was one of the two and I dont want either until someone in a higher position comes to look at the many issues. The many videos speak for themselves. There are several other things wrong but Ill save that for future communications and reviews. Too much to upload.

    Business Response

I appreciate your time in outlining your concerns, it will make it easier to respond. If you heard 3-5 days, I apologize:There is no way during the fall with the rain, wind and other unforeseen weather fronts, anyone could offer that time frame. You also had an extensive electrical package that in itself is a 2-3 day process including inspections.

The fact that we replaced the ceiling panels, at no cost to you, that alone demonstrates our eagerness to please you.

You speak of being unprofessional, again we apologize if we had to tell you repeatedly it was not acceptable to be verbally abusive with EVERY supervisor that was on your project as well as the sub contractor trying to do your install AND the electrician you not only were disrespectful to, but also approved  to come to your home only to find you were not home to give them access. The many failed inspections that were simply because although you were told dates for inspection, locked your front gate. You have created a hostile workplace for each any every worker that has stepped on your property.. this simply cannot continue. We have completed your project with the exception of a change order that was approved by you at the beginning of the project that would add shingles to meet code in your city. Yet you still have not paid us for the structure, let alone your change order. We would rather take a loss on this project than to continue to deal with you as a customer. I suspect this was your intention all along.. and I feel very sorry for you. Hope you treat your next contractor with a modicum of decency.

    Best of luck

I am rejecting this response because:

I see this "company" is STILL being unprofessional by using ALL CAPS and I'll respond by giving the SAME ENERGY and reply to each and every one of your answers.  It took you TWO MONTHS and this is THE BEST you could come up with?  Thisconveniently THREE DAYS before the BBB was going to suspend you? You would've probably been better off being suspended because I have date-stamped pictures AND videos of the way you left this project STILL UNFINISHED!!!!! From NO CAPS being installed, to black c*** on my BRAND NEW BRICK, to horrible cutting jobs, to frayed screens all over the entire project, to warped screens, to a leaky roof that was FINALLY fixed after I HAD TO TELL YOU WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE TO STOP THE ****** to horrible sealing jobs, to the leaks that continue to happen around the entire structure because there are NO CAPS, to my poorly cut gutters, to just a poor job ALL AROUND and you expect for me to be happy?  Like I asked you beforeWAS THIS DONE ON PURPOSE?  Your response to my complaint wouldve been better if you ADMITTED S******* UP MY PROJECT instead of LYING TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK BETTER.  I will not only prove youre lying by my words, but I will also prove it by the pictures of the work and of text messages clearly stating I NEVER DENIED ACCESS!  Honesty is the BEST policy and youre not being truthful in your response AT ALL.  I will upload the max ****** of pictures that I can to show that but will also make THE REST AVAILABLE to any and everybody needing to see MORE of your incompetence and shoddy workmanship.

YES, MY HOA AND I WERE TOLD 3-5 days EVEN AFTER I elected to get the electrical package. There were TWO rain delays and at least 2-3 days of delays because of YOUR workers!  The second day of the job was stopped because that was one of the times the electrician no-showed!!  You started this project on 17 Oct 22 and when your people did their "FINAL" inspection on 18 Nov 22, A MONTH LATER, you still weren't DONE!  You knew about the electrical package on 23 Jun 22 WHEN THE CONTRACT WAS DRAWN UP!  The final contract was signed by me on 25 Jun 22, so dont lie and act like the electrical package was new to you!!! You knew about it from the beginning and that wasnt a CHANGE ORDER, so NO!! Your electrician no-showed me three times, so, NO, it wasnt me, it was your unprofessional crew that didnt respect anyone elses time but THEIR OWN!!!  That same unprofessional electrician left all the dust and dirt from drilling into my wall that he FAILED TO CLEAN UP!  The fact that you replaced the ceiling panels AT NO COST TO ME ALONE DEMONSTRATES YOUR EAGERNESS TO PLEASE ME?  WHAT? You cant be serious!  You replaced the ceiling panels at NO CHARGE to me because ALL OF THE PANELS THEY INSTALLED WERE DAMAGED UPON INSTALLATION!!!!They knew that when they installed them and didnt think I would notice but I pointed it out on day one and they said they'd replace them but never did (and had NO INTENTION TO) until 15 Nov 22! Every supervisor you sent to my home was unprofessional and had NO clue of what they were doing!  So, of course, I was ticked and unhappy with their lack of work standards and lack of attention to detail.  You had NO eagerness to please me by installing defective materials from the get go! You were SUPPOSED TO DO THAT! You expect a customer to accept damaged materials on installation?  They were NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER DENIED ACCESS TO MY HOME WHEN THEY TOLD ME THEY NEEDED ACCESS!  The only time they didnt have access is when I WAS NEVER TOLD THEY NEEDED ACCESS!!  Theyd tell me they needed access an hour before they needed it, which was unacceptable as I wasnt sitting around at home all day waiting for them to inform me they needed access (actually I did do that once, which is why I fired the first guy you sent)!!  Who leaves their garage door open for attic access when theyre not home for contractors that I didnt trust in the first place?  And I for doggone sure wasnt going to leave my home open.  I have the text messages between ******* and I stating exactly that.  Are you willing to share those to prove Im telling the truth? I think not, but I have them readily available.  I tried to have YOU come and look at this atrocity, but when you responded to my email IN ALL CAPS stating the buck stopped with him, I knew you were unprofessional and a shady business owner!  This was an *************** and I get they needed access to the garage and the home for the electrical portion.  I gave them access WHEN THEY TOLD ME THEY NEEDED IT!! THEY NEVER ENTERED MY PROPERTY THROUGH MY HOME GATE, it was ALWAYS THE SIDE GATE they used during the days they worked!  They had the gate code to my subdivision and again, the side gate WAS ALWAYS UNLOCKED FOR THEM TO ENTER! They were never, ever denied entry to where they needed to be and when they needed to be there. I have plenty of texts within AN HOUR of them needing access and yes, I wasnt at home sitting around waiting for them to possibly need access, so that too is a lie!  So, youre LYING AGAIN!!! As a matter of fact, your entire response is A LIE!!!  Again, the project was NEVER COMPLETED! The change order was supposed to be done BEFORE PAYMENT, NOT AFTER.  The change order was needed because the city said I needed shingles to match my roof, which YOU NEVER DID!!!!  Change orders are paid for after, NOT BEFORE the work is complete.  If I hadnt APPROVED the change order, the project couldnt have even been started.  Now youre acting as if I never wanted to pay for the job OR the change order, which is FALSE!!  You never wanted to fix this atrocity even after I sent many pictures and videos of the damages and unfinished work!! For yours and anyone elses viewing pleasure, I have uploaded SOME pictures and have PLENTY MORE UPON REQUEST!!!  Ill also mention that my roof leaked for THREE RAIN showers! WHY? Because YOU FAILED TO INSTALL A TRANSITION.  I had to hire an independent roofer to tell me why MY BRAND NEW ROOF you installed continued to leak. Please tell me why ME, as a CUSTOMER has to tell a CONTRACTOR that a transition needed to be installed?  The transition was poorly installed on 28 Nov 22 and the caps were supposed to be installed at the same time (per ******** text) but NEVER WERE!  A month later a transition was installed?  Thats professional to you?  Why wasnt it installed before I told you one needed to be installed?  I also had to hire that same independent roofer to inspect the poorly installed transition to ensure there were NO MORE LEAKS!  See the pictures of the shoddy roof job with the project and my home being separated by a ceiling panel and not a transition!   Also, see the text messages where ******* stated they were going to seal it better. SEALING A ROOF FROM ONE STRUCTURE TO ANOTHER IS NOT GONG TO PREVENT LEAKS!!!  EVEN IF THEY SEAL IT BETTER THAN LAST TIME!!!! I abided by YOUR contract and had every intention of paying you the balance DUE AT COMPLETION!  I also have an email (attached) from you stating TWICE, YES, TWICE that the project wasnt complete! You cant expect a customer to pay for unfinished AND shoddy work, which is what you were demanding!! I had been asking for weeks upon weeks for yall to fix this mess and now Im stuck having to hire someone TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS you made!  You think my intention all along was to NOT pay you for the job?  Why would anyone put themselves through something like this and possibly have to pay someone MORE to fix it? Youve got to be kidding! I guess youll stoop to that level to try to save face and TRY to make yourselves look good! MY intention ALL ALONG was to pay for a COPMPLETED job and for YOU to carry out YOUR contract, which you failed to do.  ** left having to pay someone probably MORE to fix your crappy job!  Please, please dont feel sorry for me.  Ill leave that feeling for your future customers hiring you to do anything for them! However, I do feel sorry for you and your shoddy company trying to rip people off and threaten mechanics liens when YOU are AT FAULT!!! YOU DIDNT HONOR YOUR CONTRACT!!!!! I hope the next customer you build a patio for has a better experience with this joke of a company and no, I dont wish you the best because youve made my life miserable for the past three months and STILL DIDNT honor YOUR OWN CONTRACT OR COMPLETE THE *** YOU WERE HIRED TO DO!  Your response is insulting and a disgrace!!!  Thanks for FINALLY responding two months later, which should tell any future customers everything they need to know ABOUT YOU!!!!
