    Castaway replaced my mercruiser engine. I had many problems with the work and his response to the issues. The replacement engine would bog down at **** RPM. After several return trips to Castaway, i took the boat to another shop near Lake ******. They reported that the timing was not set properly and a harmonic balancer bolt was not tightened. They warned that based on what they found, there were probably other problems with the work that Castaway did. I reported the problem to Castaway and the charge of $600 for the work that the other shop performed. I only requested half of the cost for additional work and Castaway agreed to the settlement. But he failed to reimburse me and doesn't return calls.He is inexperienced and unresponsive. Also, I don't know if he's dishonest or just disorganized. But wither way, you may want to look elsewhere for reliable repair work.
