    I paid this company I found on my local courts website to file a small claims court paperwork for me. They charged me $150 to file the paperwork and then said they need another $50 to file it and didnt disclose this at the start. I told them I want my money back and they claim because they say its nonrefundable they plan on keeping part or all of my money.. I never even paid the court fee so they have not dont anything. No service has yet to be provided and now they claim they can just keep my money and ignore my messages for as long as they want. Its illegal and insane.

    This matter has been addressed with the customer.

    The service fee and court fees are completely separate. The customer will pay the court fees at the time of filing (not when ordering), as explained in the first step of the ordering process.

    If the customer cancels or does not want to pay the court fees (charged by the court directly, not us) after weve reviewed, created (if needed), or technically fixed the customer's documents, and entered the data into the court system to calculate the court fees, the service fee is non-refundable because the work done up to that point cannot be undone.

    However, if the customer is unable to pay the court fees, they have the option to submit a request for a court fee waiver, which we can file with the court.

    For a long time now this company sends a notification of filing with a phone number that is not theirs. The person this number belongs to specifically says he is not a court filing company and this number is incorrect. Please have them remove this number from correspondence in emails, mail or other communications. The filing I filed on 8/23/24 was shown as received but yet the court didn't approve it and then questioned the court and 1efile but then it was rejected but never was given a refund. I try to ask questions to get one but still not hearing back. Would like them to refund the $73.99

    When you file online, the court (not us) places an authorization hold on your card, which appears as a "pending" charge on your statement. This is not an actual charge and will disappear a few days after the rejection. This is how the court system operates, and unfortunately, we do not control this process.

    The court should have already lifted the hold, so it should no longer appear on your statement. Please check to confirm.
