Lone Star patent service guarantees *********************** ad copy plus a contract requires they provide 100 companies to you that your product packet will be sent to, but list they provide comes from some unaudited outdated database of inaccurate information they blame on closed businesses they cannot account for. Near half of the listings LPS provided were useless, with companies that had nothing to do with my invention, or the company name given was not correct or the address was wrong or the company was a duplicate.. Most companies won't even consider unsolicited new product inquiries and they know this is standard operating procedures for unsolicited ideas to most any fortune five hundred or fortune ***** corporations. They failed to disclose this fact. For my product which relates to a bed pan toilet, some of the companies they provided for me to contact were a closed operations because many of the brochures they produced were returned in mail, unopened. I spent time searching for a company that offers marketing as they advertised with a guaranteed satisfaction that is a lie cause I am certainly not satisfied. Spent more money on stamps mailing packets to dozens of these "companies" believing that Lonestar Patent Services had provided accurate and relevant company listings for my specific product. They refuse to assist with finding or securing licensing agreements with companies that are not in ****Even though the **** patent process permits for filing international protections . They don't tell you this up front, you simply find out their unwillingness when you ask for international company listings.are not included.Their contract provides for a refund if you secure a licensing agreement that requires the patent be approved, and if the patent then gets denied and you had a licensing agreement with a company already, they say they refund you. they provide useless listings and licensing deals are virtually zero. There was no marketing provided as promised!

********************** reviewed and approved ALL contracted services (see attached). His invention failed to generate interest from industry manufacturers, and now he strangely thinks he's entitled to a full refund. Ridiculous.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 06/17/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   They sold me on false claims of doing marketing when they did not do so. I had already produced a product brochure and did not need another one.

they call printing a brochure marketing when it is not marketing as this a false claim.

they claim satisfaction guaranteed when I clearly am not satisfied with poor services to ****** license for product use in industry.

BBB is unable to locate the business.
Their contract requires they provide 100 companies to you that your product packet will be sent to, but the list they provide comes from some unaudited outdated database of inaccurate information they blame **************** for. Almost half of the listings LPS provided me were useless, as they were companies that had nothing to do with my invention, or the company name given was not correct or the address was wrong or the company was a duplicate of another company also provided with the same contact information. Most companies won't even consider unsolicited new product inquiries. For my product which relates to a toilet, some of the companies they provided for me to contact were a home security company, a jewelry company, a concrete company, one for outdoor water systems, the website for one of the companies they provided directed me to an illicit pill website, and one company listed was a single family home that had no company related to it. I wasted time and money mailing packets to dozens of these "companies" believing that Lonestar Patent Services had provided accurate and relevant company listings for my specific product. They refuse to assist with finding or securing licensing agreements with companies that aren't located in *****************, claiming foreign companies are unreliable and dealings with other countries' companies are "too risky." Even though the **** patent process permits for filing international protections, **** and ******* claim no other country or foreign company can be trusted. They don't tell you this up front, you simply find out their unwillingness when you ask for international company listings.Their contract provides for a refund ONLY if you secure a licensing agreement that requires the patent be approved, and if the patent then gets denied and you had a licensing agreement with a company already, they'll refund you. But they provide such useless company listings that the chances of getting a licensing deal are virtually zero.

The service contract was fulfilled and approved by ******************************* on 08/19/2022. He signed the attached document stating that he was very happy with the completed work. Suddenly, over a year later, he's unhappy and wants a refund. It's ridiculous. He's currently unemployed and apparently looking for someone to blame for his problems and extort money from. Very sad.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/14/2023

I am rejecting this response because:    it contains materially false and defamatory statements. The contract is not "fulfilled," as the contract is still valid and active until 04/2024 with continued obligations Lonestar Patent Services continues to attempt to deny. The information provided by Lonestar Patent Services as "accurate and valid" in 2022 turned out to be frivolously inaccurate and mostly irrelevant. Lonestar Patent Services fraudulently and materially misrepresented the accuracy of the information they provided in 2022 and they now attempt to project blame on to their victim (victim blaming) with more materially false and unprofessional statements.

Furthermore, contrary to their response, I am not unemployed and I am not to blame for Lonestar Patent Services fraud and failures and I am not to blame for them giving me irrelevant, inaccurate information. Lonestar Patent Services is entirely to blame for their materially false statements and their omissions about how little accurate and relevant information they would actually provide and that they would refuse work with valid international companies and that they would go out of their way to obstruct the services the contract was intended for (securing a licensing deal.) The contract, as had been advertised by LPS, assured that they would assist with providing companies that I could potentially reach a licensing deal with however they have done the exact opposite. They now attempt to victim blame me for their failures and incompetencies and derelict business practices. Reviewing ****** reviews for their company, this is their style. Materially false statements, omissions, incompetent derelict services and victim blaming with defamation.

LPS is attempting the exact opposite of what they advertised and promised in the contract and they now claim the contract is "fulfilled" though it is not. It is still active until 04/2024, and LPS now refuses to fulfill the contract of providing valid companies and being willing to assist with licensing deals. Lonestar Patent Services is no longer willing to fulfill the still active contract because **** did not receive the gratitude he claimed to be deserving of and doesn't want to spend money that they would be contractually required to spend if a licensing deal were to succeed. This is not what they advertised, and I am not to blame for their crooked and incompetent business practices.

Here's another document of approval, signed by ********************, for all his contracted & completed services.

Look... he's clearly 'not-all-there' as proven by his last response. We wish him the best and will not respond to his crazy rantings any further.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/14/2023

I am rejecting this response because:   the files and contract screenshot I've attached here prove the contract is not fulfilled, as it lasts for a MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS from the date signed. Lonestar Patent Services continues to promote false statements claiming it was fulfilled in 2022. 2022 was the date they provide me a bunch of useless, false, irrelevant, frivolous paperwork they deceptively passed off as accurate and relevant and valid. That's the date I signed that form saying they gave me what they gave me. It turned out to be a bunch of trash and irrelevant nonsense, and they now refuse to acknowledge that the contract and their obligations to the contract are still valid until April ****, as shown in the contract screenshot. This document shown here proves that **** continues to promote lies and defame the victim of his crimes and his fraudulent business practices.

Stating facts that assert ****** unstable and criminal nature do not amount to rantings. **** is a con artist engaged in a fraudulent business of lies and deceptions, and continues to promote lies and defamatory character assassinations with each additional message he sends.

****** assertion that the contract ending in April **** was fulfilled in 2022, and that their obligations to it are over already, proves he's not a reputable or honest person.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/15/2023

    Attached are files that show:

    1) The contract continues after the first year since the provisional patent application was upgraded to a full utility patent application. Contrary to ****** claims that the contract was fulfilled in 2022 after just four months, their contractual obligations remain to this day and are NOT fulfilled.

    2) The contract that says they promise to protect client's best interests and expend best efforts in fulfilling contractual obligations, yet the company listings they gave me as accurate and relevant indicates they made no effort to provide accurate information, leaving the chances of reaching a licensing deal highly unlikely (not client's best interests).

    3) A screenshot from the *** office manager asserting they will not help with international companies (not client's best interests and not stipulated in contract).

    4) **** saying though there is a patent treaty to accommodate international agreements and protections, *** refuses that option as a business practice of theirs which they don't disclose up front to the client (not client's best interests).

    5) ************ listings *** provided me as updated and relevant which I ended up finding out had materially false information. **** estimated maybe 10% would not be valid anymore due to recent company changes, but this shows *** provided a highly inaccurate set of listings with no regard for accuracy or relevance to client's product (not client's best interests).

Though *** has clearly failed in fulfilling the still-active contract and has significantly obstructed my ability to reach a licensing deal (which is the entire purpose of the $12,890 contract in the first place) and though the contract remains valid and active, **** and ******* refuse to assist in meaningful ways to advance the client's interests with valid, accurate, relevant companies to contact. Claiming because I believed them when they told me the listings they gave me were valid, that fulfills their obligations and have no further obligations to the contract.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/15/2023

The earlier response containing the comment and contract screenshot referencing "minimum of two years" intends to make reference to the contract obligations of Lonestar Patent Services that upon negotiating a licensing deal with any potentially interested company for the STILL VALID contract, that deal would be for a minimum of two years.

As shown in the submission prior to this one, with the screenshot of the condition that their obligations would end after the first year ONLY if the provisional patent wasn't upgraded to a full utility patent, the current contract is therefore still valid and still active and LPS has yet to fulfill their continued obligations to it, contrary to their claims that it was fulfilled entirely in 2022 and that they have no more obligations to fulfill its terms. The trash, inaccurate listings they gave shows that the services I paid for and expected to be accurate was not provided by LPS.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/16/2023

To show that ****** defamatory assassination of my character in his previous response is not only baseless nonsense but also represents his standard response about anyone that leaves a poor review and/or reports his misleading, incompetent, deceptive, fraudulent and rude business practices, I have attached five screenshots of ****** reviews of their business. ****** character is one of an immature, unprofessional, pathologically lying, narcissistic fraudster.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/17/2023

Additionally, the premise of Lonestar Patent Services that **** explains to client's before signing the $12,890 contract is that with their services and assistance, not only will LPS coordinate and assist with the necessary steps in the patent/licensing deal process, but with the product packets LPS will put together for clients, client will mail these packets to at least 100 companies provided to client by LPS. **** explains that when the companies receive the packets, the packets take time to go through the hierarchy of the company and their team will consider the invention and see if it works with their product line or potentially even expand their product line to include the new invention, and upon potential interest, the company will reach out to the inventor for further discussions.

This information turned out to be deceptive because one major company (Kohler) I heard back from (not by sending the packet but by contacting them online) said they do not consider new products unless there is an issued patent or issued patent application on file. I communicated this to **** at that time and he told me that response is a standard response from *most* companies (that it is 'legal speak'), as if to downplay the response as just a technical hurdle. Another major company I heard back from put my product packet, still in its unopened envelope, into another envelope and mailed it back to me with a letter that says they don't open or review such mailings.

The premise **** promotes to interested clients before signing the $12,890 is entirely false. *Most companies* do NOT review the packet in the manner **** explains, but rather, most companies won't review unsolicited new product inquiries or they will only review them upon issuance of a patent or issued patent application, which **** ended up telling me takes MANY YEARS. Thus, the premise that **** promotes to get a client to sign the contract, being that companies will review the packet and reach out to them potentially within 9 months, even as early as within 2-3 months, is entirely false.

Under this false pretence, **** explains that the client just has to then put the interested company in touch with him and he'll take it from there and LPS will cover all additional necessary patent costs, however if no licensing deal is reached within this short timeframe, client has to pay the patent attorney's cost of a utility patent. Without reaching a licensing deal, the $12,890 contract is not worth anybody's money, and given the material facts that **** is aware of but withholds and omits from what he communicates to interested clients, most clients are thus paying for the false narrative **** communicates to them that turns out to be highly unlikely to actually occur.

I have attached here a screenshot of the message I received from Kohler.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 11/08/2023

The contract was not cancelled by me at any time. I paid $12,890 to Lonestar Patent Services in 2022 for the services they advertised and because I upgraded the provisional patent application from August 2022 to a full utility patent application in August 2023, the contract agreement with LPS remains active. It has not been cancelled by me and can not be cancelled by LPS without refund to me, for which I have received no refund.

However, in the email thread attachment I've attached below, September 11th at 10:34 is a message from **** insinuating that because I'm not happy with the lies and uselessness and avoidance they have provided and continue to engage in, he 'wishes me the very best,' as to insinuate he is absolving himself of further obligation to me or the contract. He also has falsely claimed that their contractual obligations were fulfilled entirely just four months after it was signed. Since he gave me so many useless company listings initially (that they told me were valid), the services I was paying for (that I would receive 100 valid, relevant companies to review my product) have not been provided to me and it's clear LPS is unable and unwilling to provide anything close to 100 valid, relevant companies. They refuse to provide non-U.S. company listings and refuse to work outside the U.S. so the idea that they could provide 100 valid, relevant companies to review the product is restricted to the U.S. and entirely unlikely to actually occur. In this case, it has proven to be impossible.

I have attached the full contract as well as that email communication to this message.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 12/19/2023

Page 8 of the contract document I've already provided contains that specific wording. It clearly specifies that Lonestar Patent Services' obligations to the contract only expires if the inventor (me) doesn't "upgrade" the provisional patent to a full utility patent application. Because at that point, if the provisional patent hasn't been turned into a full utility patent application, then the provisional patent expires and so does LPS' obligations.

However, I upgraded the provisional patent to a full utility patent application by paying the patent attorney the required fees (paid thru LPS) and thus LPS' contract obligations to me are not fully fulfilled as **** continues to falsely assert. I did not pay $12,890 for four months of their assistance, and the assistance they provided was full of inaccurate, useless information they passed off as valid. Only when I got no responses from interested companies after many months did I end up finding out LPS had provided me garbage and useless company listings. **** is now claiming that because they provided me information in August 2022, that was the fulfillment of their contract, and he's no longer willing to provide valid company listings to me because he is claiming the contact is fulfilled entirely, though it is clearly not. I didn't pay for outdated, non-existent or irrelevant company listings, which is what **** provided me. I paid for relevant, accurate company listings that would help me get a licensing deal. **** failed to provide that, and when I found out that what he gave was mostly false information, and asked for international company listings and valid listings instead of outdated, irrelevant listings, he and ******* (his office manager) refused, claiming they will not do business with non U.S. companies and will not provide me the 100 valid listings the contract promises. **** says that because the gave me a bunch of information in August 2022, that's all he is obligated to do and nothing else.

I have reattached a screenshot of that page of the contract here.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/22/2023

As per the attached documents, Lonestar Patent Services fulfilled all services outlined in the sign-off page. Another attached sign-off page shows the client circling 'YES' to the completion and quality of our service.

Approximately one-year after delivering ALL contracted and approved services to the client, he called us demanding a refund (obviously trying to extort money from us) or he was going to file several negative reviews against us, which he did. We contacted our corporate attorney to file a lawsuit against the client, that is until his parents called and apologized to us on behalf of their son so we proceeded to drop the lawsuit.

In the end, we completed all contracted service work and the client signed and approved the completion of all services; as the attachments prove. A year later, out of the blue, he called and ridiculously demanded a refund.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 12/22/2023

I am rejecting this response because:   it is entirely and pathologically false and completely absurd. My parents received no communication from Lonestar Patent Services nor anybody's attorneys regarding me, nor would they have the means to find or identify my parents. Additionally, my parents have no involvement nor awareness of any of this. I called my Dad just now to ask if he had engaged in such communication as **** has alleged, and my Dad had no idea what I was referring to.

**** is a delusional, pathologically lying, shameless con artist. **** continues to promote nonsense and defamatory character assassinations against his crime victims, alleging a request for a refund due to services not provided somehow constitutes extortion and that posting damaging yet true reviews on the Internet is a criminal act.

It has been overwhelmingly proven that LPS advertised and promised services to Client (100 valid, relevant companies to review my product submission) and subsequently provided dozens of irrelevant, inaccurate and false company listings instead, obstructing and hindering my chances of success, which is not what I was promised and paid $12,890 for. LPS then refused to provide valid companies outside the U.S. and falsely claimed their contractual obligations to have ended in August 2022, though the contract is still valid given the provisional patent application was upgraded to a full utility patent in August 2023.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 01/02/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   it is the exact same nonsensical and defamatory response and exact same wording that **** provided on December 22. He seems to have copied and pasted his earlier response and resubmitted it, without regard for the response I gave to it on December 22 asserting it to be complete nonsense, to include his absurd allegations that he had his lawyers contact my parents and intimidate them into apologizing for me, which is something that never happened. It's clearly just the same old garbage **** manufactured to distract from the topic of his fraudulent business practices, pathological dishonesty and criminal nature, while **** tries to waste everyone's time and appear like a good guy claiming to be the victim.

At this point in time, **** is clearly not even trying to appear to be honest, and is quite possibly incapable of telling the truth or respecting others. Clearly, **** is "not all there."

    Customer Answer

    Date: 02/15/2024

****, according to a nonsense response he provided to BBB, said he had his lawyers threaten my parents into apologizing for me, and that **** therefore dropped a lawsuit (that never existed.) That whole statement by **** is complete nonsense, as no such communication happened.

**** claimed FALSELY that a contract which is still VALID, due to the upgrading of the provisional patent to a full utility patent application, is actually "fully fulfilled" and that he has no further obligation to it. Evidence was provided by Client in the form of a copy of the contract, that **** was lying about the contract being fulfilled fully, as it is still in effect.

The contact requires Lonestar Patent Services to provide 100 VALID, RELEVANT companies but LPS provided mostly irrelevant, non-existent or false company listings that LPS fraudulently passed off as valid, and has subsequently refused to provide VALID, RELEVANT companies, claiming that any company not in ***************** is not reliable and can't be a trusted (a racist assertion), and that LPS will not provide valid companies in the amount contractually promised because in August 2022, Client signed off on a list initially given by LPS, having falsely been led to believe the list was of valid companies.

****, through this BBB thread, subsequently denied any responsibility to provide what was contractually promised, and has only sought to obstruct and deny fulfillment of the contact and defame Client with nonsense allegations, not substantiated with any evidence because of how frivolous and nonsensical the allegations and assertions are.

This abhorrent conduct and criminal character does not represent 'good faith' efforts to resolve anything. Client, to the contrary, has not received anything of resolution nor anything of good faith from **** or Lonestar Patent Services. If the BBB is in possession of something that reflects 'good faith' by Lonestar Patent Services, I have not seen it and have not received anything from Lonestar Patent Services that $12,890 was paid for. Please provide it to me or find that Lonestar Patent Services FAILED to engage in good faith efforts to reach a resolution. Defamation, lies, threats and obstruction should not represent 'good faith'.
