      Im *******. I chose book publishing to write a book for me. I paid them 300 dollars. I called them told them I didnt need the service no more. I ask for refund they dont want to refund me no more. I need my 300 back.

      May 13, 2024 $5,000 Brookwritinglane committed in a written contract to promoting a book I published in October 2022 and it committed to selling ***** copies by November 13 2024. If it failed to sell 3000 copies by November 13 it was committed to refunding my $5000 and letting me keep the royalties from those books it had sold. The book is entitled, "Mesibov, Schopler, and TEACCH Changing the World for Parents and People with Autism. It was initially published in October 2022. At the very least I would like the royalties from the ***** copies of the book that they said in an email Informing me they had already sold as of November 8th. To be clear:1. Bookwritinglane committed in a contract signed by their representative ***** ******, May 13th 2024 to refunding my $5,000 investment if they were unable to sell 3000 copies of the book by November 3, 2024. As recently as November 8th 2024, I received an email from the company's represenetative, ****** *****, assuring me they had sold ***** copies of my book on Amazon and that I was due $7,300 in royalties. Yet, according to ****** which sends me a monthly report, I have sold very few books since May.Since November 15, ********************************************************************* so we can attempt to resolve this dispute. They have not responded.

      Dear Better Business Bureau:I am writing to report bad business practices with an online book publishing company. I hired this company in January of 2024. It is now June of 2024 and my book isnt published. Most companies that offer services like this one would have the book published and online within 1 to 3 months. The av starting fees are between $99 to $300 for basic service.I was initially charged $2000 because of the book illustrations of my 50 stories I added to the package and for the book cover.During these months I endured much frustration because the company would not adhere to my directions. The book covers they designed did not have my photo on it, but photos of friends and relatives. I believe they were being blatantly defiant by refusing to follow what I hired them to do. I had to hire another company to design my book cover and I cancelled the 50 book illustrations as a result of that struggle. Canceling those 2 features, taking an unusually long time to edit, and the disrespectful behavior in not following my instructions is enough reason to get a full refund.I have written numerous times and I have spoken with the publishing team on the phone requesting a refund. They would always respond, I will get back with you later. This problem is not resolved and a refund is my request.
