I called for mobile rv service, was quoted $150 service call and $d150 per hour . 3 men showed up, fixed one wire, which took under an hour, told me I needed 2 new batteries, I agreed, they took my batteries out, left for 3 hours and returned with a bill for $6800 dollars. I told them that was ridiculous and all 3 men who were inside my rv that only my daughter and I travel in, began yelling and threatening to rip the cable out if I didnt pay what they were asking, I to,d them I only had **** dollars in my account and they demanded I pay it to them. I sent via cash app, as they demanded, , and they turned and left. Leaving me with no money and no batteries and scared to death for our safety.Business Response

We got a call from the customer on Labor Day stating they were broke down and in need of assistance. We dropped everything and went to their rescue simply because it was two women who were stranded. They were told what the normal hourly charge was but that it would be higher since its Labor Day and we were so busy but dropped everything to come to their aid. Once there, repairs were made and new batteries were bought and installed. It did take longer than expected as they were far from any real parts places, so we just charged them the normal price instead of the emergency service price. During the 4 hours it took us to fix the said issues and we replace the house batteries, they had mentioned how they were pulled over along the way and taken to jail for drugs. We knew once we heard that that we may have issues with the payment and issues we did have! They did ultimately pay $1200 and we went back to the busy day we were having. At no time did we threaten them or in any way even possibly made them fear for their safety! That is absurd. Later that day they sent us a request for not only a refund, but $8000 cash. Needless to say, we were flabbergasted but we moved on. We have nothing to hide and always treat our customers with respect and the professional curiosity. ThanksInitial Complaint

UNTRUSTWORTHY These guys are disappointingly a scam. Scheduled an appointment. They didnt value my time and just showed up a day early. They looked at my unit for 5 min, didnt do the electrical tests they said they would, said i needed an entirely new unit even though it was functional (so they could make money) and then charged me an unexpected $150 fee just to give them a call, and an additional $150 inspection fee even though they only stayed 5 min. They said they would give me options to buy a new appliance in an email, and they dipped and its been 4 weeks with no email. This should be illegal.Business Response

**************** asked us to come by to check out why his ac unit was not working. We did so in a timely matter. We first noticed that his rv was plugged into a 16 gauge 120 volt extension cord. We let him know that will only supply power but will not provide the required amperage it takes to run things such as his ac. So we then proceeded to check out his ac unit and found that his control board had indeed burnt up. Most likely do to his power cord, but we could not give a definate answer on that. We did tell him we would send him an email with prices on a few different brands of ac unit. We did send that email. However, we never heard back from ****************. Maybe it went to his spam folder or for some unknown reason he did see it or couldnt find it. When we were done, we did charge him our usual service fee and 1 hour labor/diagnostic fee at. He was upset at that point that we would charge him to come out and diagnose it. I guess he thought that would be free? Not sure. He was upset when we left though about that but again we never heard anything back from him. This was MONTHS ago though and now he sends a complaint.Initial Complaint

On 1/26/22 Joe ***** with Red River Mobile Rv Repair and Restoration came to my Coachman Chaparral 5th Wheel RV to service my furnace and hot water tank. I was told by *** ***** that my hot water tank had leaked and damaged both my furnace and subfloor. He gave me an estimate of $5336.00 to replace both the furnace and hot water tank. I wrote a check to *** ***** for $5336.00. Red River Mobile RV employees x 2 returned on 1/27/22 and replaced both the furnace and hot water tank. I used the furnace for the 1st time on 10/17/22. I was awakened around 3:00am by my carbon monoxide detectors going off. I had a severe headache, I was disoriented, and there was dry vomit on my pillow. I had suffered a severe case of carbon monoxide poisoning. I turned off the furnace and went outside while airing out the RV and the carbon monoxide detectors. I used a can of Boost Oxygen also. After the RV was aired out and the detector were no longer detecting any carbon monoxide, I went back in and used 2 electric heater until I could have the furnace serviced. I called ****************************** Mobile RV Service and Repair to come out to service the furnace which was brand new and 1st time used. Tony came out on 10/20/22. He worked for about 6 hours and couldn't find why carbon monoxide was still coming into my RV cabin. At that point he decided to take the new furnace out to check for any possible defects. At that time he discovered the wrong furnace had been placed. Red River Mobile RV placed a furnace requiring an outside access door which my RV does not have. The model number on the wrong unit was 40111. My RV requires a Doorless unit model number 40121. By not having the required access door the carbon monoxide was collecting in the belly of my RV & being recirculated into the cabin. I have the old furnace removed by Red River Mobile RV and it has the correct model number of 40121. Replacing the furnace was $1400.00. I am very fortunate that this didn't result in my death.Business Response

Red River has tried to go inspect then furnace and the RV but Mrs ****** hasn't allowed us to check out the issue. I told Mrs ****** RED river would refund her money if we discovered we are at fault. She then demanded a ungodly amount of money and made multiples threats. I am assuming this is a money grab considering she hasn't been cooperative however Red River is still willing to refund her money to stay in good standing with the BBB.

Joe ***** wanted to come out and look at the new furnace. I didn't feel comfortable having him around me or the furnace. I was afraid of him doing something to sabotage the furnace to avoid responsibility of his mistake. I did send him pictures of the new furnace, the wrong furnace his company put in, and the old furnace his company took out. They included the model numbers. I also have the installation manual from the wrong furnace his company put in that clearly states, outside access door/vent required. I am very angry that he says that this is a "money grab" and that I made multiple threats. Neither are true. I am suffering from the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning now, and the long term effects are still unknown. He has forced me to get an attorney to help resolve this issue. I continue to suffer from daily headaches, increased migraines, anxiety, panic attacks, memory issues, and insomnia. **** ********* the repairman that discovered the mistake is willing to testify to what he found. This mistake could have easily resulted in mine or someone else's death. I want Joe ***** and his company to be held accountable for this. **** ******** spent a whole day trying to find the problem and thank goodness he didn't give up! He probably saved my life. Joe ***** was so apologetic the first 2 days on the phone and now he is trying to slander me. This is totally unacceptable. I want justice and to protect others from potential harm from this incompetent company.
