    This company did some pressure washing for us on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We told them we were going out of town but would leave gate open (all outdoor work). Upon our return we saw a bill and my wife sent payment by check to the address on that bill. The bill was for $438.41. The following Monday we got a call from Scott asking about payment. I told him the check had been mailed. I called two days later to see if it had been received and got a “no”. Scott then asked what address we had sent payment to and we answered to the address on the bill. When asked which address we had used we recited the address on the bill. Scott then said that that address was not correct and no longer in use. There was no other indication on the bill of any other address. Scott then started getting argumentative telling me that the terms and conditions provided for payment within 5 days and the correct address. I said that as a customer we could not be faulted for the business’ mistake in leaving a bill withthe incorrect address on it. He went back to telling me that we were in the wrong because we should have read the terms and conditions. I was so outraged that I hung up on him. Scott called me right back and starts berating me for hanging up on him and called me an asshole. Great customer relations! I hung up on him again. My wife called the next day and left Scott a credit card number. He apologized to her for his behavior with me. Outrageously, however, we found out later that he charged the card $460.91. When she asked why, she was told that the additional amount was a late fee ( for something that was their fault!).
