Its getting warm again, so we start to use the ** more frequently. Big surprise, ** isn't working properly like we want it to. We call home warranty again so they send out a company called "precision comfort home services" come out to diagnosis my ** issues. They tell me its my compressor. So they order me a compressor and install it, i have to pay $1500 for it. They install it and then leave. Next day, my ** has the same issue again. Nothing was fixed at all in fact it got worse. So i call precision home comfort and they come out and look, and on the phone i triple checked that this is not a service/diagnostic call that will cost me another $300. They assured me that no its free as they just installed it and "its their fault". They realize that not only did they install the wrong compressor but the adaptors/connectors to the copper freon piping was also incorrect and not the right type. They then charged me the $300 service/diagnostic fee that they explicitly told me it would be waived. I had to then hound them to get my money back. They finish the job and then leave. Sure enough, this wrong compressor ruined my system up more than it was already by blowing it up. it completely burned out and actually melted the copper prong things due to such a surge of current that then tripped the breaker to my entire house. (see image). So, i paid $1500 to have them install the wrong compressor (akin to working on a **** f150 and putting in a ********** engine as a s***** analogy). The $1500 compressor is now completely broke within 2 hours of using it and they are saying im on the hook for it even though they installed it! After all that, they come back again and then finally say they found the "real" problem (had nothing to do with my $1500 compressor i just bought) and that they are not willing to do the work.....so obviously im livid they they left my house in worse shape than before they even touched it.This all occurred on April 26th, 2025 in the afternoon.

My technician went out and diagnosed the system in question. It had a bad compressor. We submitted to the customer's home warranty company for a full condenser replacement. The home warranty company would only change the compressor. The customer's home warranty company ordered and sent the compressor they wanted installed in the unit. My install crew went and installed the compressor the warranty company sent us. The next day the customer called said system wasn't cooling again. My tech went out and found that the compressor needed a different size capacitor then the original compressor had. We replaced capacitor and the unit was operating normally. A week later the customer called and stated the unit wasn't working again. We went back out and the tech found the system low on R-410a. He recharged the system and did a leak search of the full system. He then found a leak in the line-set in the wall. The homeowner told the tech that he knew it had a leak in the line-set and kept it from us and home warranty because the system running with no freon was probably what caused the compressor to go out in the first place. The tech sent the customer an invoice for the freon and service call because this was a completely different issue then the compressor we installed. The only issue was he didn't discuss the charges and get the homeowners authorization to recharge the system before he did it. I told him he couldn't charge the customer. The tech let the homeowner know not to pay the invoice. Two days later the homeowner was on his computer and for some reason wanted to pay $1 on the invoice. When he did, the whole invoice plus the dollar was charged to his card. The homeowner called the tech and was upset it took the full amount. I called the homeowner and refunded the credit card transaction. Then the homeowner and I discussed the replacement of his line-set and he said he would check pricing at other places and get back to me. He sent us an estimate from another company and said he would be picking the first company that could get him on the schedule and do it for that company's price. I responded back with I'm not lowering my price and good luck. Then homeowner got upset and sent reviews everywhere full of false information. The compressor on his system that we installed is still operational. Once the line-set is replaced, the issue that his home warranty paid us for to fix will work fine.
