Starting on 2-16-24, ****** *********, the owner of American Maintenance Solutions, agreed to install a propane fireplace, along with a propane line to an outside propane tank. He returned three weeks later and started the job, but had problems, saying he'd return the next day to finish the job. He didn't return until more than a week later, and after a few false starts, installed the fireplace, but had to return later with a propane tank. Again, it was more than a week. He placed a small 50lb tank, saying it would last several months. It lasted four days. After a month, he showed up with a 100lb tank. We never used the fireplace because the weather was too warm for a fire. When we finally went to use it about three months ago, it wouldn't work. He apparently improperly hooked up the propane line, or according to him, the pilot light on the fireplace had used up all the propane in a six month period. He promised to be out the next day to check out the problem. Once again, he didn't show up. And after three weeks of repeatedly texting, calling, leaving voice mails, he finally responded, saying he'd been sick, but would be by soon. A week later he showed, fixed the propane hookup (again charging us for his error), claiming he needed to clean out the propane line, and would then return to refill the 100lb tank the next day. Again, he was a no show for over two weeks, and then said he couldn't refill the tank because of some sort of problem, but hooked up another 50lb tank as an interim measure, and would return in one-three days to finish the job. That was the last time we saw him. I have tried numerous times to contact him via phone, text and email without any response. He has simply disappeared, clearly with no intention to refill the 100lb tank and remove the extraneous 50lb tank, which is now empty as well.

This customer wants me to continue to deliver propane to them . I do not owe them money or services.  And I do not deliver propane.

I am rejecting this response because: ********* has lied on two counts.  1. That he does not deliver propane.  In which case, you might ask him how the two propane tanks (in the picture provided) somehow arrived at my house and were hooked up (by him).  2. That the first invoice (paid in full) was to deliver a full 100lb propane tank - and the two follow up checks were to refill the empty 100lb tank, which he did not complete as promised on the first attempt, but instead hooked up the second smaller tank with the additional promise to return within three days to complete the refill.  And we never heard from him again. Thus $220 payment for service not received!

I might ad, as an aside: I reported ********* on my local Nextdoor neighborhood website and got several responses, one of which sent me two links showing ********* had a criminal record for credit card abuse in ***********, *************  As one of my neighbors on Nextdoor wrote, "He's a con man and *****."

BTW - I'm told the attachments I've attempted to add are two large, so only submitting those which can be successfully attached.

    Regards,

This person, ****** *********, having a business card saying, AMERICAN MAINTENANCE SOLUTIONS, came by my house because my husband had just passed and I was selling some items to fix up some house problems, because my home insurance was about to cancel me. His wife ******* was with him at the time. He offered to help repair the siding for $5000 and he would donate his own time. His employees started the repairs but needed for money for materials. This continued on needing more money for materials. It seemed to be coming along nicely until I ran out of money. The siding looks terrible because the caulk used was the wrong color. We discussed this and he said he would look for the right color. There are holes. Also included in the agreement was for them to clean up after themselves. They did not do this. Tons of garbage left. I called him on it and the workers went back and hid most the garbage behind my shed. They've still left scaffolding and other garbage laying around. Calling him again, ****** himself came two different times about a month after the job was supposedly done and spent a total of maybe 3 hours cleaned out a very small portion of the garbage. The caulking remains unchanged, and oodles of garbage are still behind the shed.
