    On 3/13,25, I had my truck towed to Smiths Electric because it would not start. They decided it was the starter. It still did not solve the problem and they say they put three starters in it. During this time, they also said I had an oil leak and that I needed a new valve cover gasket. I had a new gasket installed 15k miles earlier by them. And **** told me I would not get my truck back until I paid that bill. I had no choice but to sign off on getting the gasket fixed. I can't ruin the truck because I need it. I get the truck back on a Friday and it did the exact same thing I took it to them to fix. It would not start. On that Monday 3/31/25, I called Smiths and talked to ****** Smith, the owner and he said he would send a tow truck to pick it up. I thanked him profusely. He never sent the tow truck. Never heard from them again. Apparently lying seems to be their modus operandi. I took the truck to another mechanic who said I needed a fuse box. Fixed it right up. I also have an issue with my receipts still showing a balance due. I paid cash on both invoices and they are showing a balance due. No cash was applied to the invoice. Which means that they are not reporting cash payments as income in their taxes. I am a degreed accountant and did a few years doing taxes. They are lucky if I don't report them to the IRS.I want reimbursement on both invoices. I feel like every word they said to me was a lie. Just like the tow truck they never sent. After my issues, I wasn't surprised when a few people told me they would never have taken their vehicle there. I should have listened to the community.

    I am rejecting this response because:  I talked to Mr. ********************** about the issues by phone on June 29.  He mentioned giving me a credit but as I do not feel comfortable taking my truck to them for anything in my future, this was an unsatisfactory resolution.  He told me to call him back next week.  I did that twice and he will not return my call.  He apparently has some health issues but, according to people who have answered the phone, he has been to the shop.  He can get to his shop but can't return my call?  He is ghosting me just like he did when he said he would send a tow truck.  He says he stands by their work but he sure can't say he stands by his word.  I strongly suggest not using his services.
