    Sodexo food management is not a good place to work. The ones in charge are more worried about filling their pockets instead of taking care of the employees. Higher management are allowed to change times and add breaks even when they are not taken. School kitchens are short staffed because they are not making enough money for the higher management. Employees are struggling and being overworked because the money the higher *** want are not being produced. The food quality is undesirable, the reason for decreased sales. Nothing is fresh, it is all processed and overcooked. In some school's enough food is not produced to feed the students and staff. Some of the management in the school are giving food away, and not having the students and staff purchase it. This is causing food costs to become high, and when this happens the employees hours are cut. Many students complain there is not enough of food, so they go without eating. Even filing a complaint with HR went nowhere. Whatever is said just gets swept under the rug and the employee is dismissed. The pay is not worth the work that is done. Many kitchens run on only the bare minimum of employees. General Managers and Operational Managers will not step to provide aid unless it is in a school they prefer, they will not lend a hand in helping their employees, even on sick days. If an employee has been out 5 days sick, with a doctor's note they will only get paid for half of their shift. Once those 5 sick days are used an employee will be pointed for being out sick, even with a doctor's note. This company only cares for its management and nothing about the ones on the floor overworking to line their pockets, not one team of management will reach out to ensure their employees need anything or ensure they are in good health. Sodexo is all about the dollar and not employee care.
