The air conditioner unit in the apartment I'm renting, is blowing air with a smoky smell, that is causing difficulty breathing and at times causing my eyes to burn.

I submitted a maintenance request on February 14, 2025, regarding a leaking toilet valve that caused an excessive water bill. For three weeks, the landlord blamed the City of Lubbock, claiming it was a faulty meter. They submitted a fraudulent credit request on March 3, 2025, before the actual issue was resolved, stating that the problem was a meter malfunction when, in reality, the leak wasnt addressed until March 7, 2025. The City of ******* does not grant credit for toilet valve leaks. Despite the Citys scrutiny of their claims. The landlord failed to take responsibility for the issue and instead dumped the entire $1,100 bill on me.Additionally, when my water was scheduled to be shut off the week of March 21, 2025, the Grassano Properties office was unavailable for an entire week due to spring break, leaving me without support. To make matters worse, the office manager leaves utilities on in vacant units for months. The office manager is also only available three days a week. On March 21, the day my water was set to be shut off, a maintenance worker attempted unauthorized entry into my unit. I rejected the request for an in-person meeting and instead authorized the City of Lubbock to allow Grassano to access my utility account. This action further reinforces the fraudulent credit request that was filed by the property.Following the three-way call with the City, the landlord offered a partial reimbursement of $300 out of the $340 due for the next billing cycle, this amount does not address the full extent of the damages caused by their ongoing negligence. Toilet valve leaks typically dont show their full impact until the bill arrives. This toilet valve malfunction was due to Grassanos negligence.I am requesting a $2,500 credit toward my rent to compensate for the damages caused by their ongoing negligence, the financial strain, and the inconvenience caused by their lack of proper maintenance and failure to resolve this issue.

On 8/28/23 Grassano Duplexes 2 LLC billed me$1,035.00 for damages when I moved out, this amount is beyond what actual damages reflect. I have contacted several employees about this and no one can produce actual receipts of where the company came out this money, nor will they produce a copy of the inventory of damages on the property. The stories they have given me over the phone and in email are inconsistent, at best. I have asked for this issue to be escalated and they refused. There are 5 different registered business with the BBB all in ******* ********************************************************************************** None of which are the address that I was given over the phone of ***********************The website also does not provide an address. The pure lack of transparency was what I experienced the entire time when I was dealing with the employees of this company. They have made 2 different threats of collections while we were still in negotiations. The first red flag of the generic fees that I was charged was the carpet cleaning fee, I paid this fee when I moved in. So I was essentially paying for the last tennants dirty carpet, but then they charged me for carpet cleaning when I'm leaving too. There is no telling how many tenants they have double charged and profited from this scheme. Also, they have things listed in the damages that are completely untrue, they have it listed that the window was broke, that window was broke(and documented)at my move in date. Also some of the carpet issues were documented from a leak that was next to my apartment. That could be where some of the carpet issues stemmed from. They also included that there were missing light bulbs, the company does not provide light bulbs,so them including that was not only unnecessary but it proves how dishonest there testimony of damages really are. **** claimed they provide them at move-in, which is untrue since there was a missing bulb at move in. These are dishonest business practices.
