I attended this class for one day and was very dissatisfied with it. I was charge $100 registration fee no other CNA schools charge this fee and I think its a rip off and I would like my money back being that I only attended the class for one dayBusiness Response

Hi,
************** did attend our class for 1 day before deciding that she was going to drop our class. There's a multitude of reasons why ************** would not receive any kind of refund.
1) For starters, our Registration & Application Fee is non-refundable because we have to process her application paperwork. It takes time, money, and effort to do so. It requires multiple background checks by the **************. Also, every school that's like ours has these non-refundable fees. It's in our contracts with not only the ************** (which, why would it be approved by the state if it wasn't an industry standard), but was with **************, in which she signed (I can send all this paperwork over when I get back to the office this week if requested.) ************** was fully aware of this Application fee being non-refundable.
2) ************** was actually going through Catholic Charities here in *******, ***** to get her schooling paid for. She was going to be reimbursed this application fee by Catholic Charities had she actually attended class. ************************* was the case manager at Catholic Charities. Her number is ********************. If you gave her a call, I'm sure **************** would love to elaborate on how ************** actually wasted their time with a week's worth of paperwork that they fast tracked so she could attend this class only to drop out on a whim.
3) As a state licensed school, we're held to a high level of standards regulated by the **************. A part of that is how we handle refunds. Had ************** actually paid our full tuition herself, she would have received a refund. I can send this paperwork over as well if necessary. We, Elite Quality Nurse Aide Training, hold ourselves to the highest level of standards as well. That's why we have the single highest pass rate for certification--for both exams required to become a CNA--in the entire **************. There's a reason for this--because we pass that integrity, determination, and compassion to our students. They are largely considered the best CNAs within ******* and the greater South Plains region for this reason. In reality, ************** didn't fit with our culture and ethos as a school. She actually e-mailed us a longwinded message the week she quit trying to tell us that we needed to change the way we taught our classes--again, the class that produces the single highest pass rate in the **************.
We understand that you have to investigate any kind of formal complaint so we hope this one is resolved fairly easily and quickly. Again, I'm not at the office at this exact time, but will scan the appropriate paperwork and send it over if requested.
Thank you,

Actually I paid the $100 NOT catholic charities and Catholic charities NEVER agreed to reimburse me the $100 back they only agreed to reimburse me the fee for the TB shot. (I have emails to prove it) I dropped out of this class because the instructor created a negative, toxic school environment and Im not the only one that thought that in the class I know people that attended her class prior to me that they said the same thing and dropped out and also I know someone she grab by the arm. And for her to say I didnt fit in with their culture says a lot about her character so basically because Im BLACK I didnt fit in with them? That sounds racism to me.
She keep stating how she has the best class in ***** with passing rate probably in LUBBOCK only ******* only has two other CNA classes there its a very small city and saying you have the best class with the highest passing in *****????? I did my research ****** and ******* has the highest passing rate.Customer Answer

Hi,
We will not be responding to ************** about this matter anymore. She doesn't know what she's talking about when it comes to the industry standards, CNA Schools, the ************** regulations, or our own policies despite agreeing to them. Evidently, she's done more "research" about CNA Schools than she did studying for our CNA Class--and even then, she's not being factual with her claims. Our numbers and multiple conversations with State Officials prove otherwise.
When she emailed us a "Feedback" email months ago, she didnt use culture to describe it, but as she put it, the bad energy. of our class. We're not sure why ************** is automatically jumping to race when we speak about cultureour school and company culture. We're talking about our ethics, attitude, goals, values, and character. In our four years as a school, we have had students who've been in our classes of all races, ethnicities, creeds, sexual orientations, identities, and so on without any complaints. We take these claims of racism extremely seriously and are greatly offended that ************** would state such a thing simply because she didn't want to finish our CNA Program.
She is correct on one specific thing. She was to pay the original $100 for the application fee and wasn't to be reimbursed by Catholic Charities. Still, they were to pay for her tuition. And further still, it's an industry standard to have an Application Fee at any higher institution of learning, which we are.
In short, we didnt do anything wrong. She wasted our time (and Catholic Charities) and is continuing to do so by having us take time to focus on writing back responses here with you instead of being able to focus on our CNA students who are currently in class. This will be our last correspondence on the matter.
Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: Like I stated before you spent most the time gossiping, speaking negatively about prior students, other facilities, and other schools. I KNOW a lot of people that attended your classes. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE HIGHEST PASSING Score classes in ***** maybe in that little town *******. You made a racist statement now if I said that you were too old to be teaching that would be wrong right? That would be considered ageism right? SORRY TO TELL YOU but you are not the only CNA class in ***** and I already attended and FINISHED my CNA classes which i PAID for and thank **** Im not living in ******* anyone since I dont FIT IN WITH YOUR CULTURE young lady. I would still like my $100 BACK FROM YOU!!! You are the ONLY school charging $100 my other instructor didnt charge me ANYTHING FOR REGISTRATIONCustomer Answer
