      I took my C8 Corvette into McKinney Oil X-change on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 for an annual car inspection. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, I noticed that there were two tears on the right side of my leather steering wheel, so I returned immediately to show the manager and find a solution. The manager, who performed the inspection, took a look at it, went inside, took the ring off of his right hand and told me he didn't do it and that he only drove the car from the parking spot to the entrance of the garage (roughly 15 feet). I know this to be untrue because my car has a front camera that records all drives as well as the rotation of the steering wheel, speed and use of the brake and gas pedals. I have video of him flooring it through the parking lot and around the entire strip mall hitting speeds over 50 and cranking on the steering wheel. I left my phone number with the manager because we were unable to come to a resolution. The owner contacted me several days later. I explained the situation and he informed me that his employee said he didn't do it so they wouldn't cover the cost of the repair. He also stated that the damage was too severe to be caused by a ring. While I disagree, I will admit that I don't know exactly what caused the damage only that it happened while my car was in their possession. This damage greatly impacts the value of my car so I am asking for this business to cover the cost of the repair which is estimated to be around $1,100 which includes parts and labor. The part is currently on backorder so the final amount may not be available for several months.

      Customer complained about the scratches on the steering wheel. You can see from the picture attached that the steering wheel is ******** different spots then another scratch in a dotted straight line at an angle which is not possible to be done by a ring, especially that the lower side of the ring is the smoother side. Customer is saying she has a video of everything that she is claiming has happened, please upload it. For the driving part, it is part of the inspection process to test the brakes is to go up to *************************************************************************************************** the parking lot.
