This is being filed on behalf of **************************,We made a $42,453 purchase with ****** Electric Supply out of ************** *************) under an agreement that we would pay 50 percent up front and then 50 percent once the items was received from their warehouse along with removing the late fee from the terms and conditions of the credit app/purchase agreement. The transaction was made with these conditions due to our Business's purchase policy base on sincerely held religious beliefs and we made them aware of this. When we attempted to purchase additional items through them they refused to sell us under these previous terms resulting in us having to buy more expensive products from other distributors, which has impacted our profitability. We have been promised a meeting with their president when speaking with a *** at the location and that we would be contacted without any follow through from them.We would like the BBB to intercede and try to have ****** Electric Supply to continue to allow us to purchase parts from this distributor under our purchase policy that is based on our religion as many other distributors have. As we have purchased a $40,000 item from them and then after we have been treated as though we're a customer that has been negligent with payments with them.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

We value all customer feedback and strive to ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to service and transparency.

We understand ********************** is dissatisfied with our requirement for prepayment on special-ordered materials. At Elliott Electric Supply, our credit policies are designed to ensure a fair and consistent approach for all our customers while protecting our ability to provide high-quality products and services efficiently.
Special-order materials, by their nature, require a significant commitment on our part. These items are tailored to specific customer needs and often cannot be returned to our suppliers or resold. Therefore, prepayment is a standard policy we apply universally to ensure these orders can be fulfilled without disruption or financial risk.
While we understand this policy may not align with everyones preferences, it is a practice that allows us to maintain our operations, avoid unnecessary costs, and continue offering competitive pricing. We make every effort to communicate this policy clearly during the ordering process to prevent any misunderstanding.

We regret any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused but are we are not able to bend our payment policies from one customer to another.

I am rejecting this response because:  We're looking for you to propose solutions to us and not quote policies for which your leadership at your organization has the authority to alter.

Thank you for your response and for clarifying your policy regarding prepayment for special-order materials. We understand that this is a common practice within the industry. However, due to our faith-based policies, we are limited in how we manage payments for such orders.  We cannot violate our religious principles and hope that you can implement a system of religious accommodation with us. We're prepared to continue to purchase electrical items from your competitors at what are likely higher prices, but would rather work with your team.

Our internal policies allow us to pay in full only for items you have in stock. For special-order items, we are prepared to offer a 50% deposit then the remaining 50 percent when items are received at your warehouse.  We're willing to process a credit app with you if you can remove the late fee from the terms as this considered as interest/usury in our religion for which we cannot agree to.

We sincerely appreciate the exception your management previously made to accommodate our religious beliefs. We would like to build on this goodwill to establish a system that works well for both parties.  Many other distributors have agreed to our payment terms including smaller companies that would tend to have even more concerns about financial liabilities as we have never been delinquent in our payments (including with our large $40,000 order with you) and we always ensure that the necessary funds are always available before placing an order with our suppliers (we can provide a bank statement if needed), and this approach could provide additional assurance and hopefully mutually trust between us eventually.

      Regards,

      ******* ********
