    On May 14 , 2023, my husband and I purchased some items from Ye Olde Auction House in *********, *****. We drove almost 2 1/2 hrs to pick up The items. When we arrived it was pouring down rain and the owner asked me to go pack up the smaller items while his crew pulled my bigger items. I did so. They took my print out of what was purchased so I had to ask twice for another because I was up front. His crew had our pay out sheet, went in no particular order, my husband had no sheet to indicate what we purchased and I even voiced that i was afraid something wouldnt get placed into the trailer. Tuesday, I started to unload the trailer and realized I was missing the five chairs that matched a table we purchased. I placed a call into the auction house where I was told that they would either do a refund by check or to my credit card on file. The total owed back is *****. We bought five antique barley twist chairs at $11 each plus tax and their commission which totals *****. I spoke to the guy at the auction house a couple days later again and he said he would speak to the owner and let me know for sure how the refund would be placed. Check in the mail or credit card on file. Fast forward to over a week later and two more messages and the owner called me today and said they dont do refunds. I was told twice they would issue a refund. He told me I should have checked. I had a trailer load of furniture all while he sent me to the front to load smaller pieces and took my inventory sheet. I do not appreciate the dishonesty of this company. First, after auction pick up they never reached out to tell me their guys never included the chairs. Second, they told me they would issue a refund. $70 may not be much to some but it is in our household. I would sincerely appreciate your help resolving this matter.
