I had massive mechanical failure and went to Kwik Kar for the repairs. At the time the technician told me that I needed my control arm fixed, and to replace my VVT Solenoid, due to a leak. I was provided no photographic evidence of a leak. I got a call later that night informing me that the work had been completed and the car was ready for pickup. The next day I paid for the service and drove off to the Discount Tire down the road where the technician proceeded to freak out about my wheel missing two lug nuts. I was towed to the Brakes Plus across the street where they informed me that not only had the shop stolen my lug nuts but also broken my spindles and allowed me to drive off in a vehicle that was both unsafe and not fixed. ** fixed my spindles and replaced the lug nuts, as well as providing the alignment I was told would be done by KK, but wasnt.I continued to have issue for the next two weeks - my vehicle would begin to stutter and throw a check engine light any time I went above ***** RPM. The check engine light was a P2647 code - failure of VTEC Solenoid. I returned to ** every day for two weeks to have the issue addressed, and every time they swore that they had fixed the issue. I informed the manager at this location that the **** part would be different than the standard part that usually comes up for my make and model and has to be specifically requested. He swore that hed replaced the part twice with "OEM Parts" as well as all of the wiring around it. It seems they were just clearing the code. After two weeks, I went to the dealership where I then paid to get my VVT Solenoid replaced and was informed that ** has used an after market part that not only didnt work and wasnt good, but wasnt even right for the make and model of my vehicle. After all of this horrible service, being lied to and having my life outright endangered by KK's faulty work I would like a refund for the amount I had to pay that ended up getting fixed by other shops.
