    I bought a seasonal service for mosquito treatment of my yard. The service seemed to work because of the extreme heat once it rained the service was no longer working. I filed a complaint they said they would send someone out as soon as possible. 7 days passed. I called to cancel and was told by a person that answered that I could leave a message for a representative to call back but that they could not cancel. 2 days have passed with no representative calling and I am unable to get a person on the line. I simply want to cancel the remainder of the treatments.

    On Sept 21, the customer contacted the franchisor office of Mosquito Joe in Virginia Beach Virginia asking to cancel their service. That office cannot cancel services for local operations but they do notify us quickly. We (the local Franchisee) received an email from Virginia Beach at 4:11 local time on Sept 21, simply asking us to cancel the service. The account was closed on Sept 22. The email we received did not ask us to contact the customer. Even so, our standard process in cases like this is to contact the customer to close the loop. Looks like that did not happen in this case and we are now in the process of trying to ascertain where the process broke down. I have tried to contact the customer but have so far only been able to leave an email.
