• Advertising Review:

  BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising.  These claims may come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints, and competitor challenges.  BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements.  

  On September 20, 2023, BBB contacted Nurch, LLC regarding their advertised guarantee, use of an asterisk without it leading to any information, testimonials, and claimed results on their website https://nurch.io.

  Nurch, LLC advertises "We guarantee* you will rank on the first page of Google search results in your neighborhood for the exact services you provide" and "Get more customers without spending a penny on ads-guaranteed."

  Additionally, thepage https://www.nurch.io/features/nurch-rank-engine#footeralso advertises “guaranteed” with an asterisk that does not link to the guarantee policy but instead scrolls the website to the footer ofthe page.

   

  BBB Code of Advertising states an asterisk may be used to impart additional informationabout a word or term which is not in itself inherently deceptive.  The asterisk or other reference symbol mustnot be used as a means of contradicting or substantially changing the meaningof any advertising statement. Information referenced by asterisks must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed. 

   

  BBB found the terms regarding the 1^st Page Rank Guaranteepolicy on https://www.nurch.io/policies/terms-of-use.  BBB requested that Nurch, LLC modify the hyperlink tolink to the policy as it currently directed consumers to the footer of their page.  BBB also requested Nurch, LLC modify its website to include the guarantee policy for the advertisement claiming to “Getmore customers without spending a penny on ads-guaranteed.”

   

  Nurch also advertises testimonials claiming results from their services from customers including: 

  “I don’t know how it works, but Nurch fixedthe mystery of how to get ranked on Google.”

  “I’ve increased my appointments almost 30% inthe first two months.”

   

  BBB Code of Advertising statesin general, advertising which uses testimonials or endorsements is likely tomislead or confuse if it is not genuine and does not actually represent thecurrent opinion of the endorser. If a consumer’s experience represented in anadvertisement is not the typical experience of those using the product orservice, unless the advertisement clearly and conspicuously discloses what theexpected results will be.  

   

  BBB requested Nurch,LLC to disclose and substantiate with scientific evidence the typical resultfrom customers’ testimonials and to substantiate the testimonials advertised.  BBB further requested if the common result could not be substantiated as advertised in the testimonials to disclose the common result or discontinue the testimonials.

   

  Lastly, Nurch, LLC advertises:

   

  “Businesses that use the Nurch Conversation Engine,which is included in every subscription, see a 15% increase in revenue onaverage.”

   

  BBB Code of Advertising states claims relating to performance, energysavings, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recentand competent testing or other objective data. 

   

  BBBrequested that Nurch provide any substantiation for the claimed results tosupport the documented results or discontinue the advertised claims.

   

  As of October 23, 2023, Nurch, LLC failed to modify, substantiate, or discontinue the advertised claims.
