I am rejecting this response because:work was done in 2020 before 2021 and 2024 updates. They should not have been done and we should have been told about warranty then. We are only asking for refund for those. We understand we signed about warranty even though we were never told. We signed in a hurry after initial work was done.

      Sincerely,

      **** ******

Our Lifetime Warranty specifically states, ************ or work done on door or any and all parts of the door(s) or operator(s) must be performed by ***, any other person or company working on door(s) or operator(s) automatically voids lifetime warranty."  Customer agreed by signing warranty.  This last service call is where we discovered the door had been changed and our lifetime warranty springs had been removed.  The 2 service calls that were done in 2021 & 2024 were for full service and would have been charged the same to any customer.

We are rejecting  Ms. ******** rejection to our response.

As stated in our original response to Ms. ******** complaint....Our Lifetime Warranty specifically states, ************ or work done on door or any an all parts of the door(s) or operator(s) must be performed by DGD, any other person or company working on door(s) or operator(s) automatically voids lifetime warranty."  Customer agreed by signing the warranty.  Customer never informed us that some other company came out and replaced her door.  It was this last service call in 2024 that our Technician discovered the door and our lifetime warranty springs had been replaced.  We understand she realizes she has been caught and is trying to get her money back and cheat us out of service calls that were performed in 2021 & 2024, but she is the one that broke the agreement by having another company remove our springs and replace the door.  The service calls we performed on the door were full service which we charge $109.00 to any customer.  Was she hoping that if the springs broke on her new door that we would not notice and come out and replace them for free under the warranty?  If anyone was wronged here it was Dabney Garage Doors.

I originally contacted Dabney Garage Doors (DGD) in 2020 to have the work done; however, it was during Covid when *** did not have the parts and we could not wait months for them to receive the part and make the needed repair.
They state they have no record of my call but I am disputing that.

      Business Response

      Date: 11/07/2024

Ms. ****** is disputing the fact that we never received a call from her in 2020.  If we had received her call, we would have prepared a work order and sent a Technician out to see what repairs were needed, as we do with anyone that calls us for assistance.  Without sending the Technician out, we would not have known what parts/repairs were required.  There is no record of this call or work order for the Technician.  We would not have told her that we don't have the parts before knowing what parts were needed, and we would only know that by sending a Technician out on a call with a work order.  There is nothing more we can do with this and any further complaint from Ms. ****** will be considered harassment.
