On 2/14/2022, I mailed a check for $221.92 to REVEAL SUITS for a gold Anniversary jacket for my 50th Class Reunion for Prairie View A&M University. When I received the jacket, it was too small because the measurements which were taken by a professional tailor were not accurate. The jacket was too small, the sleeves were uneven, the lining was not sewn in properly and hung longer than the outside material, the pocket was crooked, it had stitching around the entire jacket that was not requested, the special patch with the school's logo was unreadable, and the buttons were plastic and not gold brass. The jacket was suppose to be made by his company in the USA but were outsourced to China. After numerous unanswered phone calls, texts and emails, the co-owner, David Fennessey and Gracie Fennesey, the Financial Manager agreed to a full refund including the $13 cost that I had to pay to mail the jacket back to their company. However, the other co-owner, Carlton Dixson refused to give me the refund and mailed the jacket back to me just as I had sent it. Nothing had been done to try and correct the noticeable flaws. There were other members of my class who had some of the same issues, with the poor design and other major issues with their jackets as well. Mr. Dixson chose not to honor his contract with the Prairie View A&M University Reunion Committee and refused to take any more orders. I have pictures and copies of all documentations such as my check, pictures of the jacket, the measurement form, email and texts, etc. but I'm having trouble uploading them on this website.

    Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/09/09) */
This is Mr. Dixon - the Founder and CEO of Reveal Suits. We did approximately 40-45 jackets for the Prairie View alumni group that Mrs. ***** is referring to. We received around 7 emails / communication methods in regards to fit issues, which is typical when a Reveal Suits representative does not perform the measurements. Our policy on returns / refunds is very simple - when a Client is not measured by a Reveal Suits representative, we do not cover any alterations or provide refunds...unless the garment is 4 to 6 inches short in certain areas, or if the garment clearly looks like it was made for a child or something extremely off like that. Mrs. ***** - just like every other member of this group was not measured by a Reveal Suits representative, therefore not making them eligible for refunds. We explained this to the members and even helped find a local tailor for some of them, which sufficed and we had no other lingering issues with any of the group members except Mrs. *****. We never proclaimed that our garments are MADE in the USA...our suit and blazer garments are made where 90% of everything we Americans own - in Asia and most often times China. We never mis-represent that to anyone. What Mrs. ***** also failed to realize and mention in her complaint is that - for her Prairie View alumni group - we discounted our listed $450 jacket to them for $175 apiece, plus tax and a couple of add-one if they do chose, bringing her total to the $220-ish that she referenced. She sent us the pictures and the jacket was easily able to be altered. At the end of the day, I simply chose to follow our policy - we will always assist with finding local tailors for any alterations needed, but we do not provide refunds for clients who were not measured by a Reveal Suits representative. It was nothing personal towards Mrs. *****. She is not correct in stating that we did not honor our contract, as we made every jacket for every member in that group. We notified the next year's Prairie View alumni group that the same color fabric is no longer in stock and we could not guarantee the same color for the next order. Additionally, our shipping prices from our factory have increased substantially and we would lose money at the suggested price for next year's order...and no one is in business to lose significant money.

The only refund we provided in this group was to one of the members whose order fell between the cracks on our end, and she did not receive hers in time for their group event. She still wanted to receive the jacket, so of course we refunded her because of our error and still made the jacket for her. That is how we do business. Mrs. ***** chose to publicly call us out, disparage our company name...and we did nothing respond professionally while still maintaining our policy of no refunds in this case.

    Thank you.
