    I had my 2004 Corvette coupe repaired by Seymours garage, however they refuse to honor my extended warranty policies and are demanding ***** dollars which I don't have. I'm a disabled senior citizen living on Social Security and retirement checks. That was the purpose of buying an extended warranty policy.

    Originally, Mr ****** was at a dealership and opted to have his vehicle towed to Seymour's Garage after a conversation with me at which we discussed his potential repairs and the fact that we did not accept "Extended Warranty" companies. After arrival and diagnostics of Mr ******** vehicle, we had another discussion at which prices were given and Mr ****** opted to have the vehicle repaired at Seymour's Garage and even let me know that we would have to wait approximately 1 week for his funding to come in from social security and retirement. This was an acknowledgement again, that Mr ****** understood that we at Seymour's Garage do not accept extended warranties. This again is not an in house warranty where a repair was performed and the vehicle came back with the same issue and we denied the claim, this vehicle had never been to Seymour's Garage prior. 

     

    Then after waiting a few days to begin repair as I knew he would not be immediately able to pay, the job was complete and I, ******* *****, notified Mr ****** the vehicle was complete. It was at this time that Mr ****** attempted to ask why I wouldn't accept the Aftermarket Extended Warranty policy he has. I let him know that as previously stated, we have not accepted such policies for years and reserve the right not to as we are an incredibly busy shop and I simply do not like the process and all of the measures/protocols/controls the Extended Warranty companies attempt to put small businesses such as our shop through. This again is our right as an Independent shop to opt into or out of. At the end of the conversation Mr ****** stated he understood and would be by to pay once his funding arrived at which he picked up vehicle on October 25th 9 days after arrival.
