    In April of 2020, I went to Manrique Custom Vision Center to get a Lasik procedure on my eyes. The lead sales *** convinced me that it would be better if I did an Intraocular Lens Implant because I was already 50 years old. The sales *** said they would insert a bifocal lens that would grant me vision as good as 20/15. I did some research and decided to go ahead with the procedure, but I only wanted to do it on my left eye first. The sales *** convinced me that it would be cheaper to go ahead and pay for both eyes. I agreed to pay $11,000 for both eyes in case I liked the procedure in my left eye. Several months of testing occurred to verify the vision in my left eye before the surgery took place in August of 2020. For two years after the surgery, I kept having my vision blocked by something in my eye. Multiple doctors at the clinic did testing and claimed nothing was wrong. I chose not to proceed with my right eye because my left eye was damaged. I spent another $7,000 getting my left eye fixed from a different clinic. I asked Manrique Custom Vision Center for a refund for what I paid for my right eye, and the staff claimed it would take place immediately. It has now been four years since my left eye was damaged, and I still haven't received my $5,500 refund. Each time I contacted the clinic about the refund, they claim the doctor was either out of the office and unable to sign the check, or they would take care of it within 2-3 business days. My $5,500 has been sitting in escrow collecting interest for four years and the clinic refuses to refund me. I hope this review from BBB will help get the ball rolling and finally get the clinic to step up and do the right thing. If not, I will have no choice but to file a criminal lawsuit against the company for felony theft of $5,500. The staff at Manrique Custom Vision Center are nice and act very professional, but I will not recommend anyone to receive medical procedures from this clinic.
