    We applied for adoption with the $15 application fee. I applied because I grew up with pugs, and my last pug was with me when she was **** when she passed. Everything went smoothly until they saw my partner in person. They said he wasn't "excited enough" and it worried them. We were questioned multiple times even after being approved on Jan 31st. ****** ignored my explanation of my toddler at home so we wouldn't want a delicate rescue. Any dog I inquired about she said no because they needed other dogs in the home. Finally we find a dog she says would be a great fit. I talk with the ****** and the ****** tells me we can't meet the dog because, once again, it needs another dog in our home. After the ****** rejects us I had to reach out to ****** two days later since I never heard back. She says on February 4th we'll try again. She then text me on February 8th saying she could talk to me the next evening at 8-9 knowing I have a toddler. We rescued another dog because my boyfriend said obviously we don't "fit their ideal image". I would have to agree since their mood changed immediately after meeting an African American man.
