  I had to remove my last good review that I left a couple months ago. We bought our house almost a year ago, and STILL fighting issues on it. At first the buying process with a breeze with *****. Then once it was time for set-up and trim out, it was a nightmare.. Not to mention we had a refund check due to us after closing that we didn't end up using towards something we added onto our loan and the check bounced, not once but twice, so **** the Manager had to help figure that out.. and now it is still one thing after another and its like no one talks to each other or communicates throughout the office. We did have some issues repaired however it is constant following up on the remaining issues and barely ever get anywhere the first time it gets brought up.... we have to follow up several times to "get somewhere". The contractors they use are useless and waste everyone's time and money, we have had to miss work countless of times for them to "fix" the issues but don't actually fix them when they're there like they say, so now we have to drag out the process even longer for them or someone else to come back out to "fix" the issues. Our "new" home still isn't "home" to us. Highly concerned with mold growth as these leaks have still not been properly addressed. I wonder if the "Contractors" they use are even licensed (and insured!!) contractors... The only good thing I have to say now is about ***** our sales guy who sadly isn't there anymore. What should have been a happy experience is now a complete nightmare and we should've took our business elsewhere. Oh! and our family members who also bought the same time as us from here is dealing with the same stuff we are but worse!!!

  Stay clear of Texas built ***** in ******, Texas!!I cannot, in good, faith gave this company any stars. I was sold a home that had damage to the flooring and glue on the walls with the promise by the salesman and staff, in writing, that it would be repaired. Let me tell you it was, and still is, a nightmare to deal with this company. The house was damaged underneath when it was delivered and that was a whole other nightmare that Texas built tried to get out of.Fortunately the guy they sent to repair it was honest with us and did a good job, however It's been two years and we still have no repairs on the floor or walls. The "service" department is a joke and no one will call you back or honor the promised repairs. Spend your money elsewhere.

  Awful experience. ******* is a salesperson, for sure. He knows how to sell you a nice home, discounted because it's an older model. Promises a brand new, built-in pantry and repairs done to the floors before purchase. Once his check clears, he is out. ***** in the service department is nothing short of a nightmare. She never initiates communication and always says she will get back to us, but never does. She is rude and dismissive and has a poor working relationship with the contractors. Unfortunately, we had a contractor that was all too happy to throw her under the bus, sharing details that we did not even want to know. The work completed was awful. The purchase of our home was made over 6 months ago and we never received the warranty information, and they still have not finished the initial agreed upon work. Would not recommend.

  They will literally steal money from you and sell you trash. First, it took half a year to get lending because they would only send our stuff in to 1 horrible lender that forced more on us than actually required. People would constantly quit on one side or the other, and we would never get notified and couldn't get why we weren't getting responses.Then we finally got the home delivered, and the businesses they use are horrible. After delivery, they also stop all forms of communication with you. Our base pad was never compacted (I was here so I would know) yet TX built blamed us for the fact we have cracks (which were never fully fixed and continue to appear) and the doors no longer closing. Our master bed fan poured water when it rained so of course we had to cut the power and have to deal with that, water damage and mold growth after only having the home for 2 months but needing to bring a baby home in a few weeks. They decided to bill out to the mortgage company for something they did not do, that we paid for ourselves. So they took an extra $4k that we are paying on. They've said it's unethical for them to give us a check back for $ they stole yet somehow stealing that money wasn't unethical to them? They have since continued to lie about sending it to the bank, which the bank has told us they have not received anything. The delivery resulted in some exterior bolt blowing out and coming through our floor. Their fix for that was wall putty and gluing the flooring back down. Since then, that area has creaks and moves when we walk near it. The home has tons of holes where the plumbing goes out, so there were mice in the home before we could ever even attempt to move in. The interior people not only peed all over the toilet and floor, but it seems they peed in something and knocked it over on our carpet. After multiple shampoos, it still stinks. They also continued to mess up more things like our sink or walls. The front door has a giant gap and do much more!
