I went to the shop on Sept 8, '23 because of a noise in my front end. I was told it needed new struts. Paid $873.54 to have both front strut assemblies replaced. Returned to shop on Oct 19, '23 because same issue with noise in the front end; noise had not stopped after changing struts. Was told I needed new tie rods. Went ahead & received oil change at that time. Returned again Oct 26, '23 & paid $494.47 to have tie rods changed. Noise continued along with new noise. Went to ******************* in ********** to diagnose problem. Wheel bearings were replaced and he also told me front strut was bad on driver side, should take it back to Silsbee because it was warranty work. Took it back to Silsbee on Dec 11, '23, instead of warranty work being done, I was handed an estimate for $1,261.84 to change out bushings which ****** had already said were fine. Finally took van to ************************* in ******* and had him change out strut. ******* also took a video of the bad strut to show me. While all this was going on, check engine light came on and transmission stopped shifting into third. Computer said a sensor was bad. ******* said there were 2 of those sensors and they could replace 1 at that time but I would have to leave car to get to second sensor. Then computer said another sensor went bad. ******* said they could not do transmission work so I made an appointment at Ideal Transmission in ******* Ideal did a 3-hour diagnostic costing me $125.30 only to find out the van was five quarts low in ************ were no leaks. December 18, 2023 I went to Silsbee to speak with the owner, ***. He made copies of the receipts and told me he would have a check mailed to me within 2 days. January 10, '24, I called and spoke to *** on the phone and he assured me his CPA had the check and it would be mailed out in the morning. As of January 19, ****, I have not received a check & cannot get *** on the phone. Silsbee has cost me $1,057.64 in unnecessary work.
