June 25th, I was in Temple for my sister's funeral. I had arranged to have my hair to be done at *****************, 116 ********* in ************************, ******************* ******* owner. The young lady came in before opening to oblige me so I could make the funeral on time. At check out, she quoted the cost of $35.00. I obliged and even gave her $10.00 tip for coming in early. She informed me a text would be sent to my cell phone with the receipt. The following week I checked my credit card charges. She had charged me $55.00 not $35.00 as quoted. I noticed also, The name on my charge was listed as Rebel Roots in ****** and not Image Hair studio. I submitted an email to ******************* ******* who is owner of ***************** and did not receive a reply. Then I wrote a letter to her and to date have not received any response. I merely asked for a refund of the difference in the charges. I have no pictures, never received a receipt. Only the charge is shown on my credit card.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/30/2022

    Good Afternoon,

I am responding back to the complaint made by Mrs. ******* It is unfortunate that I have to send this email but I will respond to the complaint and have to respond to This complaint because I am merely believe this was confusion on her behalf. As stated June 25 Mrs. ****** came in for her after our appointment that I Agreed to come in I did not charge her in after hour fee, as I normally would. *************************** owner of image salon how do you spoken with Mrs. ****** about coming in for an updo ****** had then asked if I could accommodate ******, And I had agreed. Miss ****** had also stated that she quoted her price of a style if she had given the service. When ****** had passed on the client information to me I had scheduled the appointment and on the day of the 25th had discussed to Miss ****** that ****** and my services including pricing were different and not the same. On the day of June 25 when ****** came after hours she requested an updo which was a formal updo and a haircut. A formal updo starts at 55 and goes up to $75. ( which was discussed) This was not a regular style this was a formal updo which was the difference in the price. When ****** had asked that she needed a haircut as well, I agreed and continued with the service so we are now at a formal updo plus a haircut whether it be a complete cut a bang trim or a cut and style the price changes which was discussed. At the time of checkout ****** had no problem with payment and then thanked me so much for coming in after hours and also told me she would give me a tip for the inconvenience of hours. at the time of the service she was charged $55 as I told her it was $55 and where to sign as she said thank you and gave her signature. At the time we had also discussed some various stories of her childhood and I felt saddened buy her loss, we had a lot of conversation that at the time of checkout I as well did not charge her for the haircut I only charged her for the formal updo.  so at the end of the service ****** should have paid $55 for the formal updo and another $25 for the haircut.  I had no idea that she was making as many complaints as she did I was unaware, and only because the complaints were being made to ****** on her business page which she was confused about as well. When I had finally received these emails is when I knew then I needed to definitely respond to try to clear this up if there was an $11 difference that she was confused about I wouldve definitely cleared that up. I would have never have let the extent of this prolong I am a professional stylist that has extensive experience with the public and have never received one complaint. I am honestly appalled by the complaint considering that I came in after hours to accommodate ****** and also did not charge her for a haircut. I am not sure what the confusion is on her end about $11 but I did not get paid for the $25 haircut that was serviced.
