    On August 28 2023, I gave Jimsco Glass a $630 deposit to have a solid glass window replaced, two screen doors rescreened, and a new screen door added. The solid glass window was replaced very quickly. The remaining work was not completed. The front office kept saying that they were having trouble getting a response from their suppliers, then they were going to make the screen door themselves, then they were still waiting to hear from the suppliers, then they didn't know the status because they were waiting to hear from the supervisor, and on and on. The bottom line is that none of the additional work was completed as of August 2024. So in September 2024 I canceled the order and asked for a refund. When I called back several days later to verify the amount of the refund, I was told that their credit card machine was down and they couldn't process anything. Then when I called a week later I was told that the supervisor needed to review the refund and they couldn't do anything until he did. That was the gist of several phone calls after that. Today I went by their office and was told that he was out of the office, had been out of the office for weeks working on a job, and they didn't know when he would be able to review the refund. When I asked if they could call him because the refund is simply the $630 deposit minus the $325 charge for the window minus whatever the installation charge itself was. They said that he could not be reached by phone because he was out of state working on a job. And he needed to actually review the paperwork. When I said this had been going on for over a year, she said that there were other customers besides me and some of them have been waiting a year. At this juncture I don't know if they're out of money, or if they're really a functioning business anymore. I was told that the supervisor would not be in back in the office until after Thanksgiving, but she didn't know when after. I would like the refund and a detailed itemization.

    Better Business Bureau:

    The credit of $103.49 was processed by my credit card after a year of waiting in vain for the work to be completed and an additional four months waiting for Jimsco to calculate the amount of the credit.
