My brother was at Commitment to Caring. When he passed I was told they would send me the phone I had purchased for him and the money on left on his account. He passed away in January and I have called many times. The woman in charge said she would send it. I have called multiple times and no one answers the phone anymore. I recently received a phone call from a ********** saying they had called ***** phone and were given my number to call. So the phone is being used. Im pretty sure that is theft and if get the phone back I wont press charges.

We do have his phone, photos, personal documents, and other items his sister is being sent as next of kin. His phone cannot possibly be used since it is boxed up and wrapped in shipping tape. The dr that is being referred in the complaint contacted our company on the company phone, not her brother's phone. We have never turned his phone on. When he passed, we boxed up his belongings. The only reason the belongings have not been sent is we are waiting a final account of his funds that are in the Residential Trust Account. While we were in the middle of two COVID outbreaks, the office burned down. This had all records and administrative information in it. We are doing everything we can to resolve this issue by contacting our bank and trying to recreate the Residential Ledgers so the correct amount of money will be sent to his next of kin. You can verify by contacting ******* that we have a major cell phone outage and internet outage in our area. This is the reason for not answering phone calls. We are not getting them or any others. We have no desire to cause any undue hardship on any of our Residents or their families. We will ensure the box that is ready for shipping is sent out on Monday, June 26, 2023. As soon as possible, we will send his family his remaining funds from the trust account. We are in the process of getting these amounts correct. The fire destroyed the entire office which was also the President of the Boards home. Everything was lost. Meanwhile, we also had another Resident pass away and we had to stop and try and locate her family. This took a month to do. We do not want to appear in any way unprofessional. We have had unprecedented circumstances occur all at once. I will assure the family that his personal items, including his phone, will be shipped tomorrow. If you have any questions, please contact me. I am willing to assist in any way I can. I apologize to the family that this has taken so long, but I can also assure her his phone is not, nor ever was, being used by anyone but her brother. Thank you.
