      I had Duncan Plumbing out to my home to rule out a plumbing problem after I had water coming into my home after the recent heavy rains in my area.       Duncan Plumbing did a great job replacing my tankless water heater and providing information on the installation and troubleshooting on another water heater. *************************** was dispatched to my home and immediately identified the issue and handled it right away.       I called Duncan requesting advice to unclog my bathroom drain but they would only send someone out if I pay them $89. Two young men came took my $89 and informed me that for almost $500 additionally they said that 2 other plumbers would come back and fix the drain. I paid the $89, went to Lowes, bought a 50 snake for $35 and ran it into my drain and half an hour later, problem solved. Another plumber quoted me total of $135 for same job. Duncan wouldnt quote me the standard cost on the phone because they knew Id hang up. They got my $89 for doing nothing to clear my drain, but they didnt get my $500 for doing what I did myself. Scam!

      Duncan Plumbing took 6 calls over the weekend between Friday to Monday about the emergency plumbing issues the customer was experiencing. Our phones are answered 24/7 by knowledgeable & pleasent receptionists who took his calls and answered questions. He ask to speak to a plumber for instructions on how to clear his drain himself. It was explained very clearly on a recorded line that those of us who answer the phones are not plumbers and we do not diagnose plumbing or give directions on how to use rented drain equipment by phone. We explained we could dispatch a plumber to look at his ************** is a nominal fee to send our guys to diagnose & give the proper course of action - we need to know things like, are there cleanouts, do we have to get on the roof, is it a main line stoppage or a branch line, do we need to pull the toilet that is leaking at the base to access the line and reset the toilet? Are we adding new wax ring and bolts? Is a small, medium or large drum machine required, determininig 2 men or 1 is required? Is there a break or problem denoting that we need video footage & to camera the sewer line? In all fairness, all these factors contribute to the final cost. We DO send the best plumbers in Ellis County to fully examine, diagnose & provide a written quote before work begins, after a full inspection/examination by an experienced plumber has been conducted. We listened to the call *************** was very clearly explained & discussed that the $89 would be charged if we dispatched. We have hundreds of 5 star reviews from very satisfied customers who realize the value Duncan Plumbing provides. We have been best plumber Ellis County, Best Plumber **********, ************* Service, Plumber of the Year and are a Next Door favorite.
