      I wanted to try this method of publication for a children's literature picture book so that I could become better informed to make a judgement on whether it would be worthwhile, and I am sure Pegasus may find all ways to cancel a poor review by blaming it on the author's work etc... (which is bad form by the way and reflects back to Pegasus since they are also representing the same work/author) but this is just what I have noticed when they receive a poor review. I suppose they are just not very good at criticism. However, I must be honest in this review so I will say that I wish I never paid this business thousands of dollars. Pegasus never had to hire an illustrator because they used all of my illustrations so I am not sure why they charged me so much. Secondly, they never established any venue for me to do a meet and greet or author's reading etc...there was not one literary event set up despite them mentioning they would time and time again. All they did was do a cheap print out of my book (paperback) which I could get basically for free on Amazon publishing services. They sold not one book. NOT one even though I had a similar book that was self published before I published with Pegasus and was able to sell a thousand copies ON MY OWN for a similar storyline. This vanity publisher is a scam and they will preach and preach about not being a vanity publisher but they are. ***************** will never admit what they are. I knew all this going in, but I wanted to have my work on the ************************* webpage for my kids. I have only had two former literary pieces on the B&N webpage/in stock in store but they were part of a larger publication. If you are new to the publishing world, I would suggest you do self publishing because then you wouldn't be losing thousands of dollars. I got absolutely nothing out of publishing with Pegasus.
