On november 17th 2023 i checked into the hotel using a veteran rate of $65 per night to visit my son who is stationed in the area, On the 18th i returned to the hotel only to find that there was another person in the room. I went to the front desk with the other person and the front desk said that they checked me out because i wasnt there all day. They said that i would only be charged for the one night and would email me an updated receipt, but they did not. I found that i was charged $147 for two nights and now wydom hotels customer service and wydom credit card are telling me i need to work with the owner, but they arent answering. My son went by and they appear closed, both tell me there is nothing i can do. My case number is ********. Both have tried calling the hotel but tell me it is on me since the hotel isnt answering. Extra frustrating that customer service then essentially mocked even reaching out to the bbb.

I made a reservation for August 25th at the LaQuinta Inn and ************* I was to check out on Saturday, August 26th. My reservation number is 89320EE015210. A week before the event I called and canceled my room. However, my debit card has been charged. When I called the hotel in ************* yesterday, they told me I had to call corporate. Corporate told me all hotels were privately owned. I then again called the hotel in *************. I spoke to ******** who confirmed that I had canceled the reservation, but I would have to call back to speak to a ****. I called today. I spoke to a ****, who hung up on my twice, and once on my husband. My husband called back some time later and **** was conveniently gone. Corporate is no help. Please tell me what I need to do. I am going to take the story to the news as well. I feel like the card was charged and the money was pocketed. I have never had an establishment act this way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, ******************************* ************

Booked a room online through AARP travel (Expedia) for La Quinta Inn in *************, **. On January 27, 2023. Upon arrival at the Motel, I checked in at the front desk and got a room key. Upon arrival at the room, I found it to either be occupied or not cleaned from the previous guest, it was filthy. So I returned to the front desk and advised the lady there of the issue, she apologized and said let's try this other room, and I will go with you to make sure its ok. Upon arrival at the second room she advised someone had stolen the tv remote and she would have to get another one and that it had apparently just been cleaned and there was some residual odor. Upon opening the door the smell of bleach almost took my breath away, I guess the cleaning she mentioned was by the crime scene cleanup crew. I told her the pictures on the website do not accurately depict the actual motel. She said I wasn't the first person this week to say that. I told her I would be checking out and finding another place to stay as this one didn't seem very safe. I have attempted to contact the motel on several occasions to no avail. Also contacted ******* corporate but they would not help either. I just want a refund of my stay that I didnt use. I ended up going to the Quality Inn down the street and stayed there where I have receipts for same.
