      Several cameras onsight should have caught and recorded the incident. July 20, 2022 used public pool. It has a gate atop two slick painted stairs. I was going out and a guest was coming in. I waited on him and he held the gate open for me and when I took a step I slipped and went sideways down the gate step and two others. There was no railing and no non-skid area on the stairs. I lost consciousness (unknown how long) and only recall the other guest saying "your blood!, your blood!" I only remember walking in the cabin's front room and laying on the bathroom floor after getting the wet suit off, screaming in pain and heard cracking. My husband bought a wrap and wrapped my chest and ribs and we left early on the 21st with a black bruise the size of a grapefruit on my right hip. I was x-rayed by urgent care, no detected break via a tech. Given pain & muscle relaxer medications. Went one week later, as pain was continually getting worse, to an urgent care w/ imaging center and had ct done. Dislocated fractured ribs #5, 6 & 7. I have a recheck for September 15, 2022 to see if they have healed completely. Dr ordered no duties, rest only & was given stronger medications and slept in an outdoor lawn chair (in our bedroom) covered w/ blankets & pillows when able. When I tried to contact via email on vrbo, got no response. When left polite review, again, got no response. Have since read reviews regarding unkempt pool/hot tub area as recent as this month (August). Ignoring the situation fixes nothing. I would hate for anyone else to endure such a painful injury and recovery.
