The Texas Administrative Code outlines when a utility company can disconnect a customer's service for nonpayment. The ********************** Administrative Code states, "A utility company cannot abandon a customer without written approval from the regulatory authority because it is potentially a violation of state consumer protection laws/regulations regarding utility practices in Texas."Key points to consider: WTG West Texas Gas disconnected the service without a written notice because no direct federal law explicitly mandates it, meaning it is unclear. Federal law does not expressly mandate, meaning it does not clearly state that "utility companies must provide access to online bill payment even after disconnection, meaning there's no direct federal offense for preventing it." *********** have been disconnected without a bill sent through the mail and no written notice. However, I cannot move from the premises, meaning I cannot leave my house. Paying the bills from a website is the only choice that is granted.

This is the first reply I have received from BBB about this matter. Fortunately I have moved to a state where people take responsibility for their actions. Unfortunately for the BBB and the utility companies who have 'wronged' me in the state of TX will face the long and lingering process of business that will be left with a lift of an understanding that people are to look elsewhere for residence.
