    AD Backyards/**** Darquea torn down an existing storage shed then rebuilt another on December 16, 2024 for $7600.00. My complaint is the windows and framing was improperly installed which has negatively impacted the performance, efficiency, functionality, and over all aesthetics. I have contract the owner, **** Daquera to resolve this issue and he had his employees to come and turn the windows to its side but that did not resolve the issue. I contract him again and was told, "I just need to get use to it". The framing of the windows was cut too big in the hardy board siding so it was patched with improper framing. The window itself does not function properly and need to be replaced.

    The windows were initially installed incorrectly. Once Mrs. Reed brought this to our attention, we promptly returned to reposition the window horizontally to ensure proper functionality. After the correction, we verified that the window opens and closes smoothly (please refer to the attached video demonstrating this).
    Mrs. Reed previously had a single-pane window, and the new 2x2 double-paned window is an upgrade from her original. The framing was done correctly, as shown in the attached photos where part of the 1x4 boards have been removed for clarity. The Hardie board installation was also performed properly and, as explained to Mrs. Reed, it was done in a way that minimizes gaps and prevents potential water intrusion.
    After we repositioned, reinstalled, and reframed the window, Mrs. Reed stated that she simply did not like the style of the window. As a courtesy, I offered to install a replacement window of her choice at no additional labor cost, provided she purchased the new unit herself, since the one we installed is a brand-new, fully functional window. She declined this offer.
    Our signed scope of work does not specify the exact type of window to be installed. Based on that agreement, the installation has been completed as outlined.
