We reached out to Marble Builders and they immediately sent out a team to help clean the water up and make sure everything was dry. They then reached out to a local plumber a made it possible to get our issue fixed. Upon completion of the cleanup we asked for our bill. They stated that there was not charge and that they were very happy to help serve the local community and asked us to pay it ********** the Pastor of ******************** of **************, we are happy and honored to give them our complete endorsement. If you should ever have any construction needs please do not hesitate to reach out to them. They are honest and care about every customer.Review fromCindy R

5 starsMarble Builders were great to work with. Everyone I dealt with were professional and kind. The project manager, ***** was good at communicating and coordinating my project. The subcontractors did an excellent job repairing and remodeling my basement and kitchen after water damage. I had a good experience with Marble Builders and would recommend them.Review fromLisa G

I want to be very clear, my complaint is with the owner of Marble Builders-*************************. The employees I was in contact with (****, *****, and ********) were fabulous and went above and beyond to try and make up for their employers lack of follow through. It is due to these wonderful people that I am not going to file a negligence claim, although I believe one against ****************** would be valid. He took on my project after the former project manager for Marble left. Since taking it on he would rarely communicate with me and I ended up in direct communication with the sub-contractors myself. He also promised to get me information (such as updated estimates) and repeatedly did not. I want to reiterate that ****, *****, and ******* were wonderful and I believe went above and beyond what they were supposed to do. ***** has yet to reach out and contact me. I would urge people to think twice about using Marble Builders or any company that is owned by *************************. His employees seem very competent, but ***** himself is not able to keep up with the demands or have the common courtesy to explain that to a client or apologize.I am happy to provide the timeline breakdown I have composed detailing communication times and dates. PS. I understand ************************* also owns Mint Restoration)Marble Builders

Our experience with Marble Builders has been long & draining. In Nov 2021 we had a water leak. Marble was brought in by the restoration company.Due to the floor in the room needing to be re-done, we decided to add-on flooring to the entire main floor. The work started in Jan 2022 after we made a $14k deposit. After the floors were installed there were outstanding issues we reviewed with the Marble contractor & told they would be resolved. We heard nothing until Mar 2022 with a bill for remaining balance of $10,000 that included thousands of dollars in charges for work that was not done along with highly inflated charges on work that was completed. We sent it back with revisions, notes & accurate balance. We told them when the work was complete we would pay the accurate balance. It wasnt until Nov 2022 that someone from Empire Flooring finally contacted us to complete the ********* was completed Dec 2022.We then received the final invoice that still included 3 outrageously inflated billing items that Marble refuses to correct after many back and forth dispute emails. (1.) $3300 for 2-day small pod & 2 moves for 6 hours & no packing materials (2)) $1150 for 1-2 underlayment layers in the 20 sf area of water damage (3) $1950 for 2 workers taking 6 hours to move a kitchen island 2 (no materials). We have photos and detailed documentation for all.We have been homeowners for over 20 yrs & done dozens of home improvement renovations with dozens of vendors & have never experienced such inaccurate (potentially even unethical) billing practices & have never been delinquent on our bills. It is interesting that these are the only items in the invoice that are so grossly inflated & coincidentally the only items that did not have to be reviewed by the insurance adjuster as they were outside the claim. Once the invoice is adjusted with the accurate billing we will happily pay the small balance we owe.Marble Builders

******* and BBB,First and foremost and I do sincerely apologize for any frustration that was caused. When the initial invoice was sent after the work was completed you did respond with some items that were not completed. I was more than happy to removed those line items from the estimate since they were not done and I rectified things by doing so. The bill was adjusted and sent back to you. You then wanted Empire to come out and fix just a few things. I have been very lenient with your account and worked with you every step of the way. Even though your account was already past due, I waited for several months even though your contracts states I did not have to as those were warranty items. I made sure I followed it all the way through to make sure you were satisfied with the flooring Empire provided. As for the other items you are mentioning I explained the reasoning for those charges and I answered each and every email you sent. I let you know the details of the pod rental and moving of the contents. I also explained to you that each company has their prices, and our software generates a price based on the state and ZIP Code in which you reside. You cannot simply ****** items and expect us to have the same pricing as everyone. Each and every company has their own individual prices. We use the exact same pricing as the insurance companies. We did a complete pack out of the contents which was a lot of work. The prices that you are recommending do not even cover the pod rental itself. The underlayment was explained to you as well. I verified with empire, and they did indeed, do underlayment in that back office and other areas to make sure all of the flooring was level and flawless. Xactimate uses the industry standard pricing across the nation for mitigation and restoration companies. Im truly sorry you feel that way, but the prices will not be adjusted. I have already made all the changes when you first requested it to the estimate. No further changes will be made since I already removed the appropriate ones. Trying to get out of paying for services rendered is unethical. The estimate was sent to you since the beginning and you were aware of each and every line item. We did not add on surprise line items. If you were not in agreement you should have notified us before we started the work. I am more than fair and will always remove any line item that was not done. We do not charge for things not completed. You received beautiful flooring throughout your main level of your home, which was not as small project. I also have before and after photos as well as documentation for each company that was paid for their individual services for your project. Those line items are valid and will not be adjusted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, have a great day!Colleen P.

No leniency was ever needed on our account since the work was not completed until 12-18-22. On 2-1-22 your contractor reviewed in-person the incomplete items, took photos and documentation and assured us that everything would be taken care of. We never approved the three outstanding items, nor have we seen any clear documentation (as we have requested multiple times) that validates the costs. We have disputed these items since they appeared on the invoice. We have gotten price quotes (not ******* from multiple handyman, movers and pods.com and are still incredibly confused on how your prices are easily more than triple what we were invoiced. A small pod rental for 1 month is $200-$300 - and it was only at our house for a few days! In addition you are charging us for packing materials that were never used (we have the photos to prove this), movers that were 3 hours late on the day of the floor install (another item we were assured would be addressed by your rep) and layers of underlayment for more square footage than was installed. We have repeatedly asked for validation on how a 2-person 6 hour job of moving a kitchen island 3 inches could possibly cost almost $2000.We are incredibly happy with our floors as they are beautiful - as well they should be for the $14,000 we paid over a year ago on 1-5-22 that we were told was necessary to start any work. We have no issues paying a fair price for services rendered but we will not pay inflated, undocumented and non-validated costs or for items we did not receive or approve.Marble Builders

*******,That is not correct. The work was completed in April of 2022. You had a couple items on the flooring that you wanted touched up. I have documentation from Empire Flooring from the many times they had reached out to get you scheduled but never heard back, as well as my many many attempts from me to help you get scheduled with them as well. I provided you with their information and phone numbers to give them a call but nothing was ever scheduled. I kept on following up and finally got things scheduled in November but you pushed the appointment out another month until 12/21/22. The touch up completion was not our fault, we did our due diligence to help things get finalized. As I had stated before I provided all the documentation to you that you requested. The pricing of everything was sent to you from the beginning so I am nit sure where you are stating you were not made aware, that is not correct as you were. I have all the email from myself and your estimator ***** proving that. I used Go Minis of ****** for the pod, you are more than welcome to reach out to them for their pricing, whether the pod was used for 1 or 2 weeks their billing is base on the monthly price as well as the drop off and pick up. I used **** 2 **** services for the moving of the contents and that is what they charged me, they are NOT charging for any packing materials. If you review the estimate it does not have any of that on there. Its simply the pod rental and the company moving the contents. The prices are not inflated in anyway shape or form. Everything is documented and that is the price for the services rendered. I am more than happy to provide the BBB with all of the invoices, emails between me and you and with Empire that they sent over to me. We document everything, you are being charged for only the work that was completed. Thank you.Colleen P.

We are exhausted going back and forth on this and sent our dispute to the Debt Collector. We have all of the documentation as well and the we went months hearing nothing from Empire until Nov 2022 to actually complete the work.
