Complaint Against Selltoner.com (Supply Link, LLC)

As a former Googler, I am particularly concerned about their lack of transparency. Notably, Selltoner.com does not display their legal information on their website, which is a violation of Google's regulations. I will be submitting this website for review to ensure compliance.

Here’s a summary of my experience: I, Bruno Herrera, obtained a quote from Selltoner.com, providing clear photos of the toner and ink cartridges I intended to sell. After negotiating with Chris Shaner, he directed me to their website to generate a FedEx shipping label. I provided detailed photos of each item and its packaging before shipping them.

Three days later, Chris informed me via email that they had adjusted the payment amount, claiming that I had sent incorrect items. Despite my disagreement with their revised offer and my offer to cover the return shipping costs, they refused to return the items, citing their policy that once items are received, they are non-returnable and payment is at their discretion.

Chris did not provide any photos or evidence to support his claim that I had sent incorrect items. In contrast, I had sent them detailed photographic proof of each item and its packaging. This lack of evidence from their side leaves much doubt about the validity of Chris’s claims and puts their honesty into question.

While I acknowledge that I may have missed reading their terms and conditions, this does not justify their deceptive practices. Their refusal to provide evidence for their claim of incorrect items and their arbitrary adjustment of payment amounts are unacceptable. It is unethical to penalize customers with unjustified payment adjustments and to ignore requests for the return of goods.

Moreover, when I informed Chris that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB, he responded sarcastically with "good luck with that," further illustrating their disregard for customer concerns and complaints.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/05/2024

    Dear vendor,

You accepted our terms and conditions when you made an account on our website. Despite our terms you were told by Chris that you could provide return shipping labels and we would ship everything that you sent us back to you, to which you replied that it was not worth doing as it's too expensive to ship, which happens to be the reason we have the terms we have to encourage people to only send the items they told us they are sending. So we discounted the wrong items you sent and paid you for what we received as per our terms which you accepted when you agreed to in order to use our service.

Unfortunately I cannot agree to your desired settlement where we:

    1. would pay you additional money reflecting the retail prices found on Amazon which would be a great deal more than the original prices we quoted you and you agreed to.

    2. Return the items you sent us at our expense while you also keep the money we paid you.

We would be willing to discuss more reasonable terms as we always want the people we do business with to be happy.

    Thank you.
