      We had a great experience with Madsen Remodeling. They were fair in pricing, told us every additional charge or credit we would be receiving, and got the project done correctly. They showed up on time, walked us through a major remodeling project, and were very professional in our house. We did have a small delay with the schedule however we were notified and in the loop with all communication on timelines. We would definitely recommend Madsen's to anyone and have told friends and family about our experience with them. We hired them to remodel a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and the main living area in our home.

      Absolutely the worst people to deal with. Poor quality, o we priced, treated me like I worked for them. Make sure you read the contract and never ever assume that is covered. If its not explicitly stated in the contract they are going to do a change order and ***** you. Do not attempt to do any of the work yourself because they will not give you the correct monetary value for it. If something goes wrong they are very quick to blame their sub contractors. Toward the end of the construction I asked the quality sub contractors why they work with them and it was usually their first or second job with them and the majority stated they wouldnt work with them again unless things got extremely slow. It was so bad I retained an attorney to hold them to items that were discussed at length in person that they would not honor because it was not in the contract. Looking back there were several red flags. One was that they made me sign that I wouldnt bad mouth them on social media. Another was that they had to install video cameras around their facility because of threats from unsatisfied customers. Please think twice about going with this horrible, unethical company.

      Hi *****,We are sorry that your experience with Madsen Remodeling was not up to your standards. We would like to address a few things that you have stated in this review to show our side of the story;1) The contract that is signed should be read by all parties so that it is understood by both the consumer and the contractor as to what exactly we are doing in your home. We do list out very detailed and informative scope of work in our estimating process. This is the same contract we give to our team to ensure we are following exactly what is agreed upon. On the day of contract signing, we go over and initial all pages to ensure accuracy and that all parties are in agreement. We apologize if you feel that we didn't make sure you understood what exactly we were in contract to do in your home. 2) Thank you for stating that we do use quality sub-contractors on our projects. We agree. All sub contractors that we use on our projects are vetted, and licensed in ****. We do have long standing relationships with most all of sub-contractors and would be happy to provide more information if anyone requests. 3) We are not sure where the comment of installing video cameras on our property would ever be an issue with unsatisfied customers. We have never had any threats to our business and don't intent on this happening. 4) For any issue that came up on your project, we felt that we handled it fair and fast. If you were owed a credit for anything, we issued it. We know that you wanted to save money on your project (like demo'ing out your tile floor before we started), and we did give you a credit for this. After doing some of the demo work yourself, you told us that you didn't want to do it anymore and we jumped in to finish it. Also, the issue with the sliding door not being the correct one. We were given your selection and ordered exactly what you selected. When it arrived, it was stated that it was the wrong door, we agreed to go through this process of return and replacement. You denied this. Again, we are sorry for the way you feel we handled this situation.In closing, we are a small business in a small town. We will always try and do the right thing to make our clients happy, work through any issues that come up, and leave them satisfied with their project. You still have your workmanship warranty with us and hope that us explaining our side will help this situation.
