This property management company in *********, ** is dishonest in every way. J&E Property management will find a way to pass on and incur charges that are management responsibility. We were charged for blinds replacements, for example, at 30x the actual cost, as well as for management responsibility items (winterizing), for pre-existing items (window screens). Despite two move-out inspections (i.e., one a walk through in-person inspection AND one a move-out inspection documented with photos using RentCheck app), BOTH approved by J&E Property management, we not only did not receive our security deposit back when we moved out, we were charged additional items. Clearly, J&E did not look at the Pre-Move inspection with the 40 photos we took to document the condition of the property to compare to the highly inflated charges they came up with. Also, we put in a new fence around the backyard, new sod for a lawn, always paid rent on time, had mold removed from water leaks, yet still J&E found ways to keep our deposit and add more charges. This company constantly asked us as tenants to do their work by having renters send in photos of property condition. At one point, they did not know that the city meter for water wasn't working and suggested that we were the ones using what would be football fields of water and wanted us to pay up. They do not complete work order requests. Most troubling is how dishonest they are about the costs that they ***** up to incur. They will find a way to not only keep your deposit but also charge you additional fees. J&E Property Management conduct their business in very unprofessional ways and treat tenants very disrespectfully. They will try to get everything out of the tenants while doing as little as possible with the slowest of response times. Their responses are also not to be trusted. Although we had permission to leave curtain rods, we were still charged for their removal. This is NOT a company to be trusted or work with.
