Perkins pest control came to our home on 5.4.24. I was told at the time of the phone call and the visit that the fee of $115.00 was processed. Fast forward to present date, 8.26.24 (nearly 4 months later) and I get a text this morning stating I have a bill? I have never received any notification prior to this. I called Perkins and and the first rep I spoke to was completely unhelpful. I was told it was a bill and I needed to pay it. I told her I was willing to pursue this through social media and the BBB and she didn't care. I finally asked if she would like to maybe transfer me to a manager before I did so, and so she did. I spoke with a manager named Andre. I explained that I have worked in the medical billing world for many years, and I have NEVER heard of someone being billed nearly 4 months later for a service. EVER. He explained that they sent out one email to me on 5.4.24 to ********************** and one on 5.14.24 to the same email. That email account has been closed for nearly 5 years and would have returned the email. He confirmed my new email address today, of [email protected] I let him know this seemed a very dishonest way to conduct billing and business. He asked what the problem was?The problem is we are all out here STRUGGLING and the money that was set aside for Perkins to withdraw in May is no longer available, due to their own faulty billing practices/systems. We were loyal customers for over 10 years. Now that they have merged, and done this to us, I'll be finding a new company. It's incredibly unethical of a company to not bill its clients for over 4 months, not one call, not one mailed item, since they state they sent an email on 5.14.24, and then blame it on a billing system error/update, and still have the nerve to demand payment, or make payment arrangements. 10 years we were loyal to Perkins, and not one hiccup until they merged. Billing your clients 4 months after a service, due to your own admitted fault, is incredibly unethical.
