    I found Haig Z*********** on the internet. I made an appointment with him to come out. He came out and offered some idea. He brought out some renderings and we decided we would go with him. We gave a check for $12000.00 on 8/13/2022. I thought I had done my due diligence. In looking him up on DOPL it showed a contractors license. I did not notice it was expired. He started the demolition quickly. We did not have a kitchen within a few days. He promised the work would be late September to early October. He tried to collect $6000.00 for the cabinet installation, but he had not completed the cabinet install, so I refused.This is when things really started slowing down. He also offered me a 10% discount if I paid cash. I refused.
    This is when multiple mistakes started occurring caused by mismeasurement and not paying attention to details. Several cabinets had to be reordered. Another wall had to be removed. Very shoddy workmanship on several parts of the kitchen. This is when the countertops were installed. Again, substandard work. Haig acknowledged that. He said he would have everything done by the day before Thanksgiving.He and his guys worked a few hours that week. I attempted to reach him the next Tuesday, he replied that he would be back next Tuesday, and it would be better if I just went with his schedule. This is when I fired him.
    I paid him a total of $20,145.00. There was $4000.00 due when the countertops were installed ( properly ).
    I still have to get the countertops replaced $7-10000.00. Crown moldings must be installed $2500.00. Backsplash need to be compensated for $1500.00. 3 cabinet end panels need to be finished $1400.00
    This would be $11400.
