I had been going to willow creek for over a decade. In January 2022 I took my dog that was just over a year old to be spayed. ***************** did the spay and called me and said everything went good. That was not the case at all. My poor girl started bleeding internally during the night and she had to have surgery again. She had to stay at the vet for 2 days because of this complication. I brought her home and she was getting better but was not the same. About 3 weeks later she became very sick and lethargic. I took her to the ** vet and they gave her some fluids and medicine thinking it was just stomach bug. I brought her home within 12 hours she was getting worse so I took her back to the ** vet and they did more tests including an ultrasound. They found a mass of a foreign object next to her abdominal wall. So she had to have a third surgery. I took her to Willow Creek for this emergency surgery and demanded a different vet perform the surgery. ********* did her surgery and found 2 pieces of gauze entangled in her intestines which made her intestines in a ball. Also her left ovary was left behind from her spay and it had attached to her colon. ********* is great and I would recommend her as a vet. ***************** is not great and never once apologized or showed concern that she almost killed my puppy. When I showed up for the third surgery the receptionist was very rude. I tried reaching out to VCA through email and never got a response. I had to pay an extra $3000 for ***************** mistake of leaving gauze in my puppy during a spay. Also every time I have taken my puppy in the front desk is rude and not compassionate at all. It makes you feel like you are an inconvenience.
