I have been a nurse for 45 years and in advanced practice for over 10 years. In December, I had permanent eye liner done at this facility. Within 36 hours, I developed drainage from my eyes, a feeling of sand in my eyes and very swollen lids. It was quite uncomfortable, and I believed I had conjunctivitis. When I called the esthetician, I was told to take photos and send by text to the esthetician, the nurse practitioner would review and recommend a treatment.

Soon later, I was called by the office staff and told the nurse practitioner did not think there was a problem, and I did not have conjunctivitis. I was surprised there was no request for an evaluation with the nurse practitioner. Relying on non-medical persons to transmit information is ok in practice, coupled with in person or synchronous clinical evaluation.

The following day, I saw my own nurse practitioner virtually and was told I had conjunctivitis. When the symptoms got worse, I visited my ophthalmologist and was told I had both conjunctivitis and blepharitis in both eyes. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the esthetician again, there still was no contact from the nurse practitioner. I find the lack of clinical judgement and no response with my dissatisfaction concerning. Since that time, a month has passed and still no call from the nurse practitioner, especially after communicating my dissatisfaction.
I surely would not trust this clinician’s judgement.

For those interested here are the Standards of Practice for Nurse Practitioners, they call for a thorough physical examination, based on age and history. This was not done.

This business is terrible and dishonest. I had their memberships for a couple of years, I was told I could keep using my discount after I cancelled the membership. I have around 3000 dollars left in my membership account when I cancelled it. I have been using it last year and I was given the discount as they promised. However, I was told in store today that they cannot give me the discount anymore when I still have more than 2000 dollars left in there. When I asked to take the remaining money out because I will be moving to California in 4 months and there won't be any Elase around. They refused.

I started laser almost 2 years ago, I have had different tech associates over the years when I had Sydney I was BLOWN away by how amazing she is, I started to see the best results, she is detailed, and does a fantastic job, i have referred 3 other people to Elase but to ONLY go see Sydney, I think your business model should be based on your techs. anyways the last 8 visits that I had half of those got rescheduled with a new tech without my knowledge so when I came in, I had a BRAND new tech, i can totally see the difference in my laser when i had sydney vs having a new tech. i am super frustrated about this process, I understand that you are training Sydney, for other things and she is amazing and she should be the one to certify each laser tech by the way. but i feel like i got cheated on my results If i would have had her those 4 other visits i doubt I would even have missed spots anywhere i did laser for 2 years and have a few missed areas left and i can stand how it looks. i am asking that i get 4 additional laser sessions left with Sydney to fully complete out my laser.
