1 starThey will make your technology obsolete in less than three years and demand you replace it because they are "no longer supporting it." The tech I purchased would be over $700 to replace. It's a total scam, and I've already found other security subscriptions that will match the $700 and offer better customer service.They also don't communicate this with their customers. After thinking it was my fault the cameras weren't working for months, I found out. They discontinued the service, didn't notify customers, and continued taking our money each month.Looking into a new service now and moving on. 1 star****************** operates with deceptive billing practices and deliberate customer obstruction.I attempted to cancel my service in December 2023 and agreed to a final $207 + tax charge to close out my contract. Instead, they ignored the cancellation, stopped responding to emails, and continued billing me monthly well into June 2025 long after my subscription officially ended in January 2025.Without notifying me, they increased my monthly rate from $37.44 to $40.44, and when I finally got someone on the phone, they casually mentioned a credit on my account which turned out to be store credit only usable to buy more equipment, not to refund the services I didnt want or use. That was never made clear and felt intentionally misleading.After escalating the issue, they say they will refund me $288.22, which should have never required this much effort to get. They admitted the overcharges, but took no accountability for the months of silence or the games it took to get a resolution.This company doesnt just lack transparency they rely on it. If youre thinking of using Cove, be prepared to fight to get what youre owed. You deserve better than this.Review fromTommy V

1 starDo not use them. They are absolutely unreliable. It all started when their system was not operating properly. I requested assistance and they recommended getting new ***lacement equipment which I did with the new credit. The system still didn't operate to what it is supposed to do. I called in to cancel over a year ago, but yet they did not. They have the audacity to call to collect payment after I requested to cancel a year ago! The *** stated there are no notes on my account saying there's nothing they can do. I refuse to make the payment, and they are refusing to cancel. NOT OKAY. 1 starCanceling this service is an absolute nightmare. I have said multiple times to stop emailing and calling me and just cancel, and I continue getting harrassed - by different customer service **** every time. I've gotten upwards of 10 emails/phone calls at this point. It is exhausting and they will not leave me the h*** alone.Review fromAJ T

1 starAt this point i am not even mad! I purchased this system and like many others its complete trash! Straight out of the box I had panic buttons and door sensors that were junk! Suppose to be under warranty but I was charged for them! Every single day since it installed there is an issue. Sometimes a door opens randomly or a sensor goes off! 911 has been called so many times its pathetic! I would never recommend buying one if these! I am an HVAC contractor, I consider myself very handy! They kept saying it wasnt installed correct. They sent out a tech that said no thats no the case these systems are junk ??????Review fromAlexey R

1 star**************** is the worst. I tried to reactivate my old account, person from ********* support asked the same questions and do the same things again and again trying to figure out why its not working. They created second account on the same address and charged me twice. When I found out about second account and call them to cancel both, they told me that I have to pay for both accounts if I want to cancel. I did not even know that they created second account on the same address in the first place. Scam. Better switch to any other company.Review fromKya W

1 starNotice how they dont itemize prices online. I returned two doorbell cameras. No refund and this was about 3 weeks ago. Last night, I called in one, because the system kept failing and sending notifications and my door was not sensing that it was closed. I had to call in to find out that the sensor batteries are low. Oh, your alarm will go off in the middle of the night if the batteries are low so buy the product and expect to run out of your bed at 11:30 PM. When you call in, they hang up on you. I filed verbal complaints and sent an email to support, no response. I gave chance after chance until my last choice was to cancel. 1 starNot worth it. I gave Cove a try when it was running a promotion. I was told that at the end of my trial period I would receive the gift card that was advertised during the promotion. My trial period ended in January of 2025 and I have yet to receive the gift card as advertised. I called and was on hold for more than 15 minutes then it took hours for someone to call me back. When they finally did call they had no idea what promotion was running when I signed up, good thing I screenshot it. I was told I was on a list and would be receiving my **** gift card but they could not tell me when. My equipment had malfunctioned twice now and every time I call the wait time is outrageous. It takes them hours to return the calls and then I had to pay shipping both times for them to ship out new equipment. I am not happy with the customer service they deliver or the false advertising! If you are advertising a **** Gift card at the end of the trial period then that gift card should be mailed out at the end of the trial period! Would not recommendReview fromEmily H

1 starPick ANY other security system. Cove's app has always been glitchy (my iPhone only gets email alerts, never texts; my husband's Android cannot arm or disarm the system; the multiple times our app has disconnected or we have had issues it has always been when we're out of town), but workable ********* early January--with no alert from Cove--our 3 outdoor security cameras stopped syncing with our app. Called ***************** was told it was a known issue (that they couldn't proactively communicate to customers?), and they had no timeframe for a resolution. Their solution was to use a different app (which requires a subscription fee!) so we could access our cameras on our phones. Three and a half months later and this issue is still not fixed.The cherry on top was when I went to downgrade our monitoring plan from ********* to Cove Basic, as--per their website--the only difference was ability to access cameras in the app. Why would I pay more money if that feature was no longer available. I double-checked that the ability to arm and disarm the system from my phone was available with both plans, and per their website it was. Minutes after downgraded my monitoring plan I no longer had the ability do arm/disarm on my phone. When I followed up with customer service they told me that arming/disarming on the phone app with the Cove Basic plan was only available to users with the newer panel and system--so I am in effect being penalized for being a long-time customer with an older system.When I called to cancel today they finally tried to make it right with an offer of new equipment and a marginally lower monthly fee, but after 3.5 months of idiotic back-and-forth with customer service I had finally had enough, and had already bought a competitor's system. It should not take me calling to cancel for your customer service team to finally attempt to make things right after 3.5 months of exceedingly poor service.Review frommuhammad H

1 starbeen with them for years this company has gone down the s*** hole. Nothing works they charge you for cloud storage but neither the cameras have support for original users. Absolutely pathetic, plus cancelling it is a pain too
