    Hired Efrain R******** to complete our backyard landscaping in early August of this year 2022. We paid him half up front which was 13,800. He can and dump some dirt supposedly leveled the yard which he did not looks worse than before , ran some pvc for bubblers but never installed the bubblers. He put up to vinyl post for a fence which was also incorrect. And planted 12 out of the 20 trees he supposedly ordered. He never ordered any other product. He passed the contract deadline of Sept 10th and so we gave him 2 more weeks and during that time he did nothing it was excuse after excuse. We asked for a refund and he said he will get it us and that has been excuse after excuse as well and everyday he says the money will come today and never happens. I now see he is advertising under a different landscape company and goes by Efra.

    He is very dangerous and a matured con artist. His modus operandi is to get the contract for the advertised remodeling housework. He will be polite and appear genuinely interested to help. He will ask for money to buy the material and begin the concrete work, then more money. Once you Venmo him the money, you are a sitting duck. The hide and sick game starts in right earnest. He will make up BS stories and drag the project. He will never refund the hard-earned money for zero works done in spite of several promises to refund the money. It has been two months he has not returned my $5,000, he is a thief and will mentally harass you, hide. His main agenda is stealing your hard-earned money, delay the project, and be shameless and live on other people money. Be careful he is very dangerous and should be behind the bar. He has no place in a civilized society.

    On June 30, 2022 we received a bid and signed a contract to have a basement entry put into our backyard. We had all of the plans drawn up and permits submitted, blue stakes called, etc.

    We both agreed on price and timing. Contractor, Efrain R******** (owner) stated that he needed a 50% deposit to order the concrete as soon as possible. I was pleased with the response and added a bit more concrete work to the bid, and then on July 1 cut a check for $4,075 for 50% of the bid. Efrain was quick to show up and pick up the money... then the delays started.

    He promised to start time after time, day after day, week after week. Always one excuse or another. Never did he come back over, never did he show up. Finally at the end of July 23rd, he apologized for all of the delays and stated he would give us our deposit back, would discount the project by $700 and we could pay him when the project was complete.

    I contacted him multiple times (almost daily) about the return of the deposit and the start date, and the excuses continued to happen.

    Promises have been made and broken multiple times, and as of today, Aug 24, a full month after he promised to return the deposit, we do not have any of our deposit back. We have terminated him as our contractor and have continued to press for the refund to no avail.

    I have 3 months' worth of text messages as proof for the BBB and courts if this is helpful.

    I would never recommend Efrain to do any work for anybody. I can speak for myself and for others when I say BUYER BEWARE. After the BBB filing, we will be filing complaints with the UTAH Board of Licensing and with Utah County Small Claims court if this is not resolved.
