    I am getting married in September and was looking for an affordable videographer that would share raw footage. I started receiving adds for Encompass weddings across multiple platforms and decided to inquire for more information. Once I had given them my contact information I was inundated with advertisements and direct reach out from their contacts promising that I would be able to get all of the raw footage, well edited video and videographer options once the date got closer. I booked Encompass and heard from them every few weeks up until it was 4 months out until my wedding and they sent my videographer information to me. Upon researching this videographer I was not happy with the quality of his work and upon relaying this information to the Encompass team I was told that they could fix it in post with their editing. However, the videos were poorly lit with shadows on the brides face and I did not want to risk not being happy with the only video footage from my wedding day. I immediately notified Encompass I would like to terminate the contract and booked another videographer outside of their company. Encompass did not do any work or provide any services for me and they did not need to hold a wedding date in their calendar that blocked anyone from booking but they have kept my $700 deposit. The deposit is optional to be refunded and the contract states that it can be canceled at anytime by the hiring party with written notice. I took the correct steps and hope that Encompass reconsiders my request for refund because as a couple paying for our own wedding every little bit counts. At this time I would recommend looking elsewhere for a videographer that you can trust and then you won't lose money like I have.

    I booked this company for a photography & videography package. Initially my experience was great and they were communicative, though in hindsight not always straightforward. I asked about an engagement shoot date before & after the booking process. I was directed to speak to their wedding manager who would contact me. A week later, he did so I asked him and he said he would have to talk to their assigning manager who would have to assign our photographer first.
    We had no updates on our photographer or videographer. I sent an email sending a deadline of when we would need our assignment by. They responded with an email with no names next to assignments. I told them and they responded with another company's name in the email "Kapturly" and with a photographer's information.

    He did not appear to be a local photographer but I contacted him and still never heard back. His portfolio did not match the quality and experience that Encompass says per their website: "our ["experienced team of photographers and videographers"] has been hand picked based on their similar style and talent" which they invite you to "take a look at our website and our Instagram" and "our team has been hand picked by us to make sure we never have to worry or compromise on quality."
    I requested a new photographer. I tried to call then realized that this business did have any contact information on their website like phone numbers or address. I discovered they weren't registered with my state's Secretary of States registered businesses. I told them I would like to terminate the contract & receive a refund.
    They are now saying they never included an engagement shoot in my contract and though they haven't assigned a photographer yet, aren't in breach of the contract to provide one. Though we have conversations talking about an engagement shoot. They are refusing to refund the deposit due to this.
